Smartypants or not: The command still is "/votekick ID" and not "kickplayer ID".
There also is "/kick ID" if you're admin on the server.

Also regarding kicks, I wish there were a marker above the ID number. Took me ages to figure out what was score and what was ID.

we already have a vote kick that included a temp ban. really to do more the server host has to step in.
