Opped because you are part of the wiki staff team.
My intentions for demoting you to voiced were simple.
Mainly because you knowingly broke the rules...

<@Chosen_> Kloothommel!
<Monsteri> You are breaking the rules :P
<@Chosen_> Sorry.
<@Chosen_> I know.
* TheGrandmaster sets mode: -o Chosen_
* TheGrandmaster sets mode: +v Chosen_
<+Chosen_> Okay, I will behave people. I know I have at least broken two rules by now, and won't do it again.

Changing to voice was a quick action I took. Do bear in mind that being 'voiced' still has status on the channel.
The fact is that currently the op's generally are only needed to command ^Athena^ (the custom bot).
However, as more players play the game and possibly more people join the channel, we may need more admins.

Also, I noticed that you were using webchat.. since ^Athena^ requires all operators to be authenticated by Q, that could be quite complicated to setup..

<+Chosen_> And if I behave, will I ever get the OP back?

You may be re-opped (since you are an admin on the wiki) when you are ready.
I would advise getting mIRC or a similar program, then follow a tutorial to be authed by Q.
Once you are authed by Q, you may become quite a handy part of the channel operators.

Sorry for the essay, but I had to say it clearly. I look forward to seeing the growth of both the channel, and of the player community in general :)

@Buffet:
Added. Can be found at the bottom of the page.

@Jackster:
That is true, however there are online alternatives to the downloadable client. A good one (that I have just tested) which is specifically for the Quakenet server can be found here: http://webchat.quakenet.org/

Just type your username, and put "#Aos" in the channels box.

Oh and just to add.

All support will be on the forum not a IRC channel as people can't search on IRC can they :)

You should put a irc:// link on the wiki to make it easy for people with mIRC installed to click on. Just a thought...

I have an IRC server already set up.. it's #AoS @ Quakenet.
It has a custom bot there for commands etc.. find details here:
http://www.aceofspadeswiki.com/index.php?title=IRC

Would be great to see more people, though it's not doing badly.

Well there is a more tidy unoffical forum here:

http://ace-spades-community.com/

There for-sure will not be clusters of threads with: "OMG HELP CAN'T CONNECT" stuff.

I think there should be IRC Support Channel for people who have problems with AoS.
TOO much people have problems with AoS and forum gets flooded with "OMG HELP CAN'T CONNECT" stuff.
