if it gets stuck, just wait for it, or veify integrity of files on steam. If you want, you can try makign your own server ffrom the little plus sign on the title menu so you can load the map easier and the game will run faster with one man around. I am not exactly sure how you can get the sound files, maybe someone has them as a soundboard, I don't know, but check if it is okay for valve to use their sound files.

take a screen shot of tf2 heavy's arm shooting with his finger, and have a sound file of him saying ''pow, haha!''. If you are going to do this, make sure it's legal to use valve's sound files from their game. I am not sure is it okay, but I know that there are 2 demakes of tf2 and even a complete rip off that steals tf2 and battlefield heroes.
