I modded Halo 2 only to take the aim assist off. I still did pretty damn good. Mouse and Keyboard is still superior though.

If there is some sort of aiming assist, then analog controls are totally fine.

However, that would be somewhat cheap in multiplayer.

I actually diasgree. I think that it is fine to play with a controller, but only if you are playing against other people with controllers or else you will get outplayed everytime. I think you could try it, but you'll probably get destroyed. I'd stick with the keyboard and mouse.

I find it cute how some people think dual analog is good for FPS games.
Mouse/Motion Pointer is the only PROPER way to play a FPS without SERIOUS aim assist (auto-aim) help.

Uh, it's about 100x faster to aim with mouse and it's more precise. In my opinion.
