    I second Beret's suggestion of making the "Zombie Mode" more like Virus from TimeSplitters than Nazi Zombies. It's add a new dimension to zombie forts - not only must they be tough from an exterior attack, but one must also consider the possibility of an infected entering the base and spreading the disease within.

    How about a zombie mode like the one in CS (infection), except it's played with 3 teams: Blue, Green and Zombies!

    So it plays out like a regular game of CTF, where Blue and Green both have the objective of securing a specific amount of intels from each other, but a zombie team is thrown into the mix! The zombie team starts out with 1 player and can infect players from both teams.

    This could lead to some intriguing situations... So instead of the goal being to survive for a specific amount of time, the goal is reaching the intel limit for the human teams.

    Of course, this doesn't mean we shouldn't have the other modes suggested :)

    The pyspades server is almost fully working, afaik. If there's no hardcoded 32 player limit, we'll have zombies pretty soon.

    zombies are the single most annoying and most repeated suggestion ever.
    every game im in, someone says "this game needs zombies" or "where are the zombies" or something like that. it's freaking annoying.
    this is not COD. stop suggesting stuff which makes it like every other FPS. simplicity has its charm, and part of what makes the game so good is the fact you don't have to memorize 50 guns, a huge-ass amount of perks and take them all into account. "the enemy could have this or this or that" stop freaking suggesting EVERYTHING FROM OTHER GAMES.
    if you want zombies, script a bot for it or something, and auto-kick if they join the zombie team with some admin script. I DONT FREAKING CARE. but let ben add nice features, and let dead bodies rest in peace.

    I suggest HIGE 5KM LONG RATS THAT CAN KILL YOU IN ONE SINGLE HIT NO MATTER WHAT AND THEN BAN YOU FROM THE GAME.

    How about an army of Charlie Sheens that scream "Im Winning!" when they kill you. They also have a 1% chance to get da cocaines out and summon an army of hookers.

    I think it'd be cool, like a team of 8 in the middle of a (fairly) flat map, and they get 1 minute to build a base to protect. Zombies can destroy blocks in 5 hits, and die from 2 headshots, while your rifle gets a 12 clip mag?

    OR we could make a cool tower defense like version, where theres 2 people in a "fort" and the zombies walk towards and intel base that has 3 dudes in it, and if they get it proceed to walk back, with a cap limit in effect. Players can leave the forts, repair and add to them, and you would get more ammo at the end of every "wave".

    that sounds really cool :D and night time was a good suggestion from pineapples ^^
    anyway, they must be smart zombies, and be able to break blocks. so making huge towers and stuff won't help since they will be able to remove the support and everyone falls down D:

    I like zombie stuff as much as the next guy, but I don't think it belongs in Ace of Spades.

    If there's going to be a block building zombie game, it should be a different game altogether so that Ben can focus on making Ace of Spades awesome and whoever makes the zombie game can focus on making that awesome.

    So yeah, good concept, but isn't something Ben should do for Ace of Spades.

    I agree with Spaceman... Ace of Spades just isn't set up to be a good zombie game. The problem is that AoS, at the moment, only supports rifle combat. It's a simple "shoot the other guy before he shoots you" setup. However, the typical videogame zombie can't shoot at you, which means the gameplay would become either "continually headshot dumb zombies, who never manage to get near me" or "there's zombies everywhere! I can't shoot them all fast enough!"

    Zombies really only work in games with weapons like SMGs, LMGs, Shotguns, and/or flamethrowers. A semi-automatic rifle combat game is fun in its own right, for different reasons than COD or L4D. I happen to really enjoy the sniping and counter-sniping mechanics going on in the game as it is now, and that just won't happen with a zombie mode.

    Or the Randomly-spawning-hordes-of-melee-enemies-constantly-advancing-towards-the-cooperatively-playing-players Mode. They doesn't have to be zombies, it's the style of the game that is important.
    I could be challenging to build a good structure system that works aganst melee enemies, though it would depend on the nature of the zombies, which would depend on how the programmers created them.

    i think this game-mode is great except with two ideas that help.
    an aggro meter. make to much noise and a huge horde will come. and mutations.
    the basic zombie (looks like infected normal human) cannot break walls and is slow (except when aggro appears) and runs.
    the stronger type should be able to damage walls but slowly. and maybe playing as a zombie (with the AI) would be cool.
