Well, I know that there are many topics with same thing, but just to bring this up:
Instead of minimap, which isn't useful (btw, it has a bug, in it you can see enemy tent as enemy of enemy) at all and looks bad, I suggest there to be compass.

Um it's supposed to point in north, not actually to move. That's just main idea.

I think you mean the needle should be pointing to the direction you're looking at. A not moving needle doesn't make sense at all since you can't build a compass without it.

It would need coding for it to work, right now all I think he did was make a compass picture and slap it on an AOS screenshot.

This is an old pic though, the letters (yes) should be the ones to move.

The mini map never spin so there is always easy way to say which direction is north or east. For example: if you look to the right on the minimap then you're facing east. If you're watching up then you're facing north.

The idea with writing coordinates (A1, B5, C2 etc) is a good idea though and I'd like to know more or less (without looking at the map) where I am.

I think Ben need to get some experienced coders and let them help him with the game so more stuff that the community wants can be made and put into the game as soon as possible

Ben has expressed wishes to remain the sole coder at this stage of development.. At the moment he is tackling some core features vital to the game (map rotations. autoclimb etc) - I suspect that once the more important things have been completed, there may be more time for coding these sorts of things.

Uh, this is Ben Aksoy, not "notch". He'll do whatever pleases him. No need to say stupid stuff like "nah cause then ben will go lazy and activate notch mode"

or act say stuff like "Ben is Notch hurr durr"
