  • Hey guys! I have an imposter!

There'd be literally almost no reason why somebody would want my name, so I don't have to worry about it if there ever is registration.

"[SA]Razor" thats yelling around in caps and stuff, not me, for i would never engage in such conduct.

I've fought that child before. Atleast I know that's not you.

Noire: "This also makes a problem with the ingame registration though, what if someone takes your name?"

I think most of the long term fans will hop on the boat first anyways and shouldn't have trouble securing their name.

Well in that case, Lexsym, you can probably just ask to get the name freed, I mean you're a pretty special case in this instance.

Just happened to me today... So my official name is "Skarm". It was "Skarm13" until some jackass to it. I'm so pissed. This guy is team killing and placing random blocks to make the place inhabitable. He's giving my old me a bad reputation.

Please refrain from "Necroing" threads older than a week. It says so in the guidelines.

There is definitely some ambiguity with the rules, it says to search before you post and not to revive old thread. :P Quite the contradiction. The spirit of the no nocroing is to prevent the reviving of pointless threads. I believe ingame impostering is a legitimate concern and will continue to be until a registration system is in place.

    Same here.

I wanted to see how easy it was to pose as someone else, so I tried it myself for about half an hour. Who I posed as, and where, I'll not say, but rest assured I just played the game in a civil manner and didn't grief, troll, or hack. I wanted to see how easy it was to pose as someone else on AoS... too easy.

    Registration, please!

If you're not doing any thing wrong, why would we care what your ID is? That is all I'm saying, pretty sure that is what Lex said on page one in fewer words.

its like voting to kick your own damn self.

The current forums accounts could be converted into the game accounts. Thus anyone who has their true account on here can switch automatically without fear of imposters. That would certainly protect Lexsym from her dozens of wannabes.

And I only posed as someone else as a demonstration. I suppose I could have decided to speedhack... as long as I don't all-caps or spell like a newb, I might have even gotten away with it. I'll never know, because I refuse to take hacks into a server, because I'm not a Deuce.
