I'd tend to agree with Stack. This is the AoS game forums, and has many younger players.. the vodka thread was advertising what would be illegal stuff for several of the users here.

As for your latest thread, it's sorta directed abuse towards yourself.. No-one here would ever want you to go, under any circumstances. Life has ups and downs, but it's true for everyone that there is always something worth living for.. even if it's just because of us wanting you to stay.. that's my two cents anyway.

And as for the fetish topic, I would kinda agree with you Lex. That topic is right at the bounds of random user discussion, so I would probably agree about deletion, or at this stage - closing (with an appropriate admin message).

Should I be using this thread to report problems? Or is there another system for that?

Support section is supposed to be used for problems that aren't being addressed right away.

We really need a "Forum Emergencies" Sticky for this.

If I feel like talking about Vodka, I'll very well talk about Vodka all I want. if I want to talk about my personal life, I'll do that as well.

@Lexsym, the vodka wasn't the issue, rather the weed/suicidal rant. It sets a bad example for the younger users. I never quoted Ben about the user base, it's just an observation (a quite obvious one). Obviously weed as a legal issue differentiates according to local/federal laws, and while I have no personal grudge against it, again, you have to keep in mind the younger users. As administrators, you, danhezee, and I should set an example to users. Obviously your lifestyle/personal well-being is your own thing and nobody (myself included) can restrict that, I just kindly ask that you keep the younger audience in mind, not as a rule necessarily, but as a common courtesy.

I refuse to argue on here about this issue, especially with another administrator. It doesn't send a very re-assuring message to the other users if their own administrators can't get along.

The discussion of weed is allowed, only the discussion of purchasing and growing it, is not. I merely stated "i want weed" in a matter of which that does not apply to asking anyone on the forum for weed, but merely stating how I felt at that moment. It's not illegal, there was no illegal issues, you were wrong. The younger audiences can clearly avoid said topics if they have no iintention on reading it. If they did, they could easily "google" it and come across more informative searches. Besides, how would they know what "vodka" or "weed" is? I never stated anything about them, I just stated I want them and/or have it. It could be food to them, and a juice drink.

Just because I'm an Administrator, doesn't mean anything. Not all admins have to hold everyone's hand and walk them along. I'm certainly not doing that (but will occasionally). I don't have to be nice to everyone if I don't feel like it. If I want, I can very well be as big a bitch as I want. Everything has it's reasoning, if I'm questioned by an Administrator+, I can easily provide reasoning.

If you truely do refuse to argue with an admin, then why would you bother post anything besides "I refuse to argue on here about this issue"? It's not as if the users don't already feel reassured, given how I am, and how I've been on this forum. Only recently have I decided "hmm, mabye I'll be kinda nice" and even so, that was AFTER I got admin.

P.s. as an admin, you shouldn't be circle jerking. just FYI.

It's not "circle jerking", it's called communication between administrators, which is something that's been needed here for quite some time. Regardless, this issue is in the past and the action was taken due to the amount of requests that were received to do so by the community. This discussion is over.

This thread isn't meant to be a way for users to report problems, but rather a starting ground for new users as well and a central location for a defined set of basic, rudimentary guidelines. Maybe there needs to be a defined location for "Forum Emergencies" (like Kaede-chan said) and/or user queries regarding things like why certain posts are deleted etc.

No "circle jerking" is when you and a group of users, are group up, and talk about people "Ben" and pointing out that everything is his fault, and blaming him for stuff. You know, like a cult. Especially when the people in your circle jerk, are non-admins. You become very biased towards them, and what they say. Even being in constant agreeance with them, even when in-fact, they are wrong.

There is a difference between socializing with others, and then circle jerking.

I am going to try and not step on anybody's toes and hopefully end the feud. I also don’t want to turn this into a three way admin battle, lol.

First we are all human. Sometimes a person’s actions and intent can be misconstrued by the second person. Sometimes there is a lapse in judgment which may lead to a thread being created that isn’t the best of taste. When an admin is responsible for the lapse in judgment, it can create more chatter about the topic and how irresponsible it was to create it, than compared to a regular member. Which can lead to more pressure for another admin to step in and correct the issue. I think the corrective action was perceived as a personal attack. I don’t believe it was meant to be personal and hopefully writing this will help end this battle.

Randy, I don't need to care about the "younger audience" in this forum. It's an internet forum, and as such, I will treat it as an internet forum. The internet is for discussions (and a playground), there was no legality issues going on here. Besides this game features guns and grenades, which you use to KILL other players, with even blood coming out of them as you play. I don't have to give a single concerning shit about the younger audiences, as if they're old enough to be allowed to play this game and browse the internet on their own, they're sure as hell old enough to read what they want. If they see the word "weed" and know what it is (which they most likely already do know), they can easily be like: "okay i'm not going to read". Besides just saying: "I want weed" isn't bad at all. There was nothing wrong with it. Face facts. Think about that.

    "Do not revive old threads"
Some one posts a new thread.
"Wow, dude there is already a thread for this."

I see no problem with reviving old threads. If it reduces the amount of re-posts then i disagree with this rule.

I'm not sure how else to talk about how i feel on this subject, other than referring to instances where people complained about revivals in the revived threads.

Stack had a point, I'm not saying you don't. But why argue about it on this thread? That's certainly not the place for it, and you argued about it on this thread. You continued it in a childish matter in my opinion. For that, I said to grow up. Don't bother replying to this message, just let it end.
