Huxley's "Agnosticism" was a pretty good read. It swayed me a bit away from atheism and more towards agnosticism. I used to be pretty extreme in atheism, and was definitely an antitheist, but as an agnostic and someone with more knowledge of religion and its functions, on a societal was well as personal level, while not of a religion myself, I believe that it's a positive thing rather than a negative thing. I don't profess a belief in any higher power, so while not denying the possibility, that makes me a bit of an atheist, doesn't it? tl;dr: Agnostic-atheist, but not anti-religion |
