    The Galaxy is at peace...

    This is my first very first mod/conversion, entitled, The Super Metroid Prime mod for AoS.

    It features a number of new things including:
    Samus' Arm Cannon (Prime inspired)
    Morph Ball bomb (Super Metroid)
    New sounds to go with each
    Misc. sounds for chat, intel capture warning, reload sound, etc..
    A new sniper scope, featuring the HUD from Prime

    Very nice! I'm not using it but I love the Metroid Prime themed zoom. Very well done.

    Looks pretty cool. Watch out with the skins... you can't change the head shape without failing the checksum.

    Added new player skins
    New jump/land sounds

    Player skins are a bit meh in my opinion, but they work I suppose. I think the intel came out best though.

    I just tried this out for about half an hour on Make War, and got accused of aimbotting the sights are so good.

    Overall, I just love this mod. My one complaint is that the grenade sound isn't quite as sharp and loud as I would like.

    I'm happy you like it!

    I agree on the bomb sound. I added it because 1. It was easy to come by and 2. For nostalgia's sake. If I could rip the bombs from the Prime series, I feel that would be better, but I haven't been able to do it.

    This mod isn't done yet, so I'll tinker some more with it, thanks for the feedback!

    Edit: Don't use the 2nd link I posted, its dead, just use the first, it's updated.

    umm, the files for the torso are messed up. They are all just the S thing.

    Could you not add New(Name).kv6. It takes more time to rename and instead of "Copy and Replace".

    I AM PISSED OFF. I used the first pack and thought it was pretty cool. Later I saw an update to the pack so I got that. I have Spadille, so tried using its mod manager to install the new. Big mistake. Now all the new kv6 files that got changed are the samus intel thing. I tried uninstalling spadille and AOS, and even the fresh copies all have that fucking S. I tried moving the new files into with copy and replace the way I did it before, but fucking something changes them to the S. I tried reinstalling spadille then removing the mods from the list, then uninstalling spadille, but no dice. WHY THE HELL DOES SPADILLE KEEP WORKING WHEN IT ISN'T EVEN THERE?!

    @ Mathemagician - I think it's error on your end. I just looked at it and it's fine.

    @ Skarm13 - I did that to make it easier to distinguish between files... I didn't think it was that big of deal to rename the files, but whatever I suppose.

    I updated it again, everything's still the same, just names changed.

    Drag and drop the .kv6 files in the zip into your AoS .kv6 folder. Same with wavs.

    when i do that says cant read kv6 or whatever

    When you drag and drop, it should ask you to replace. Make double sure the new ones share the exact same name as the old ones.

    There's no way to change the zoom without hacking.

    Besides, the render distance is just beyond the fog. Regardless of what you do, the server will never load all of the map into your client to be rendered. You can't see farther than the fog, and since a head is larger than a single pixel in the sights at fog distance, you don't need more zoom.

    Why would you need to use a mod manager for this game in the first place?

    Theres a whole like.... 11 files you change.

    Maybe hurt sound
    Maybe death sound
    Maybe the intel
    Maybe the CP
    Maybe the spade

    I'm not sure how it works but Maybe its easier to change them mod manager way.
    If you keep all of the files in the same folder you will have trouble renaming them to work.

    I just don't change everything all the time because I don't have ADHD with the mods I use and am happy with them.
