  • So how many of you haven't watched Durarara!! yet?
  •

The english dub will be premiering tonight on adult swim at 12:30.
My location says I have 6 hours, thats plenty of time to watch Baccano. If you don't/havent watched Baccano you wont recognize the Cameos. (but assuming you watched baccano it's probably safe to assume you watched Durarara!!, so put that fist here so I can brofist you over the internet)

I'm rewatching Durarara!! right now because I want to hear the glorious Japanese dub before I hear the butchered product.

Actually, this is a poorly disguised Dubbed Vs Subbed topic.

    Which do you prefer?

Dubbed, but you knew that already.
And as you also know, I prefer it because I'd rather not read a cartoon. Reading is for manga.
Preferably, I wish I just knew Japanese, but I'll never learn it.

Subbed, because the voice acting is authentic and you don't get the fail dubs like DELTORA QUEST (HATE HATE HATE), although Code Geass Dubbed was pretty good :D

I've yet to run across a dub I thought was bad. Honestly, I do not like Japanese voice acting.

As I mentioned before though, there is no actual reading involved, most subbers are smart and will force you to look at the screen by e.g.: subbing a cellphone conversation (K-on!!), etc... I used to think dubbed was better and said the exact same thing "If I wanted to read, I'd be reading the manga."

Also, speaking japanese and reading Kanji are two completely different things.

Most adult swim DUBS are good, but after watching subbed it will still look like garbage

I'm unsure if they are going to air the episode 12.5 and Episode 25, because officially there are only 24 episodes.

Episode 25 is the only way the 3 OTHER characters are introduced.
and episode 12.5 had nothing to do with the plot, but had Baccano! cameos

some fan girls and some fan-girls-wanting-to-be-guys-wanting-to-be-girls-clueless-gender-benders tried to get me into it, for some candid reasons.

So i went in with the power-suit on and came out not really wanting to continue.
It didn't really click with me, the first episode. I'd probably try again some time in the future.

However, i always go for Dubs+Subs on most shows. try to find which one i don't absolutely rage over.

Might want to try some dubbed episodes of Elfen Lied before you get into subbed anime.
All of which can be found here
