    I used to watch the Gundam series back when it was on cartoon network. I never followed the story, but damn it was a pretty good show.

    I like alternative anime. I'm not a fan of the fancy big eyed shit that everybody likes.

    nope

    Uh, Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion, Tenchi Muyo (first two OVA), Trigun, and FLCL. In no particular order.

    Hmm, looks like all my favorites are sci-fi animes from like 10 years ago...

    Hammond, is Desert Punk as good as Trigun? I saw the first episode, wondering if I should pick it up?

    Princess moninoke(lol SP?) was pretty good.
    Loved akira, even though it gave me nightmares when i was a little one.
    Had a lot of fun watching Serial Experiments Lain.

    Saturday cartoons weren't so bad either. Ronin Warriors was alright, i guess. Gundam Wing got me to watch it all the way through. I really liked the tempo in "Endless Waltz"
    Not really much else to say about the cartoons as a whole.

    Whats with the question? Of course there are anime fans at the place overrun by 4chan dwellers. :\

    Not to start a huge debate, but why dub? Im sure you all got your "reading licenses" quite some time ago, so why not enjoy a peace in its original state?

    Not an amerifat here so the only dubbed anime i ever watched were some old ones before the internet when i was way too young to care. However, those english dubs that i saw were... well, from absolutely terrible to barely passable... And never as good as originals.

    Is it just laziness, i bet its just laziness

    I hate watching dubbed anime, I don't know Japanese, but I would much, much, much rather read the captions and hear a beautiful language than hear some horrible american voice actor doing a shitty dub.

    I love Tekkonkinkreet and Mind Game (and lots of other alt-anime of the like) like Damndouce noticed before. Studio 4°C and Studio Ghibli are very inspirational for me.

    I also love Appleseed Ex Machina, if any of you like futuristic action stuff, you should check those movies out.

    i started to watch Code Geass Dubbed and so i ended watching Code Geass dubbed, I'm not going to download a whole season again just for the sub! :D
    but yes, subbed is better as it's authentic and dubbed can sometimes be choppy (DELTORA QUEST DUB HATE HATE HATE HATE)

    while i understand where youre coming from (there are some real terribad dubs out there, naruto comes quickly to mind), some dubs are actually really good, like FlCl.

    anyways im watching death note now, afterwards ill probably watch ghost in the shell.

    I'm not going to lie, I've never really been into anime besides the more mainstream stuff and Rurouni Kenshin (if that's not considered mainstream, I'm not sure) while growing up. I had never heard of Shuffle! until Kaede-Chan and it got me a bit curious. I just finished the final episode after watching them all the way through (English dubbed, I have no complaints) and I have to say I really liked it.

    It's what's keeping me from watching stuff like Code Geass and Ghost in the Shell. I also don't particularly enjoy military-themed anime.

    I like em mushy or hilarious or glued-to-edge-of-seat-thrilling.

    @Stack: I'm proud of you.

    How can you LIKE Shuffle! Kaede-chan? The series was ruined by the fact Rin chose Asa (the EASY choice from a writters perspective) versus the OBVIOUS choice (and more emotionally complex) of picking Kaede! I could barely stand to finish the series after that happened.

    Anyway, my favorite anime is Cowboy Bebop. Not only is it action packed and emotionally complex, but the developers don't take any animation shortcuts (like all the good retro animes) and the music score was brought together by Yoko Kanno (one of the greatest anime/videogame music composers of all time) The movie is really good too! It truly is one of the best (if not the best) animes ever made and is critically acclaimed for good reason.

    (also check out Samurai Champloo, from the same creators of Cowboy Bebop, although I don't consider it to be AS good)

    I also like Hell Girl, Ouran Highschool Host Club, Full Moon Wo Shagashite, Death Note, and Code geasse (would've added desert punk, but the ending sucked)

    p.s. not alll anime is moe shit, lots of it is really well animated and have deep and emotional stories. Just stay away from the stuff thats obviously made with middle schoolers in mind.

    p.p.s. I have watched so many animes I cant even remember them all @___@ theres tons of free sites online where you can watch any anime imaginable! If you want to get into anime, its very VERY easy...

    We need spoiler tags. >.<

    Not saying Rin made the correct choice, but that doesn't make me not like the anime. I thought it was a funny show. The main reason why he didn't pick Kaede was because of their past. He should have given her a chance though ;_;
