    Rather revive a dead thread, I decided to make a new one.
    With the addition of the SMG in .54, I've updated my AoS Metroid mod as well.

    This edition of the mod features:

    The Phazon/Hyper Beam
    Phazon corrupted HUD
    New weapon sound
    New icons to replace the helmets on player selection

    The new HUD is a bit trippy at first, so watch out @_@

    Thanks, I think it gives the sense that the SMG is more devastating that it actually is.

    I wonder what you could make the tent.... maybe a Chozo statue, those heal/re-arm you in Zero Mission.

    ...You should make a version where the player suits are less accurate to samus's actual suits, but easier to tell apart on first glance. I keep getting 'em mixed up at range. :C

    How about the ship? .. No, too large, yeah? Stick with the pod i guess. Seems a little.. dull for the rest of the mod though.

    I was thinking the ship first too, but it is too large, although it'd be nice. The save pod is a better idea than the statue. Thanks for looking into clearer team colors. I'm currently using this pack with everything but the weapons since I thought the scopes gave me an unfair advantage, and Metroid Prime weapons aren't as.... oomfy as modern guns. I prefer my guns oomfy. :D

    Edit: Another bad idea: shovels or pickaxes could be.... skrees. http://metroid.wikia.com/wiki/Skree

    I'll look into what to do about the pick-axe and spade whenever I get back to this mod.

    I'm glad the mods good enough for someone to use... use the scopes! lol. What do you mean oompfy? It's a damned arm cannon, not a bb gun like everyone else makes >.> lol

    The ship may work better, if done correctly... and I think I know how... stay tuned :)

    I'm not sure how to define oomfy, honestly. Something about the sound effects, probably. A gun that makes a nice bang when fired is oomfier than a soft laser sound.

    I personally prefer the gun, and I prefer ironsights cuuuuuuuuuuuuuz the average noob uses ironsights and I want it to be a reasonably fair playing field.

    I think I'd use the arm cannon if it had an iron sight..... I wonder if I could make one..... heh.

    Heh, you could make it look like samus is banging her fist against the rocks to break them (Power suit enhanced strength! I dunno!) but then a player holding an arm would look really strange.

    Maybe she could hit a weapon against the rocks? It's not like she has a melee attack. Maybe you could just restyle the pick and shovel to be glowy and awesome like her guns. I'm wondering how you're gonna get that ship to look good as a tent without making it bigger. :D

    EDIT: OR instead of a pickaxe you could have one of those creepy fingernails Kraid tosses at you in super metroid. Those are angled nicely too. xP

    i am one for fist smashing for the pick axe and some kind of bash for the shovel.

    I can't really say i'd know how to do this with out making it look like butt though.

    I have not heard the audio but a little bass goes a long way in a "oomphy" sort of sound. I think though sticking to some thing true to the metroid games is best.

    I didn't forget the tracer, it's just that both guns would use the same tracer. The Power Beam and Phazon Beam have completely different projectiles, so I think it would look funny... But yeah, thanks!

    I get what you mean now. I didn't want to go overboard when I was mixing the audio for the beams, so I tried the best I could to match the new sounds with orginals, volume/bass wise. Heh, the way I had the Phazon sound mixed before almost ripped my subwoofer in half lol

    Now, for the Pickaxe and spade... I think what I'll do is keep the orginal shapes of both, but "enhance" them a bit.

    I appreciate the suggestions guys, but please refrain from reviving dead threads in the future, thanks :D
