I believe it's up to the creator/distributor of the content in question. Indie games like Minecraft for example I think would be left alone, while other mainstream companies with more mainstream games is where the problem lies from what I understand about the wording of the document.

This happened with Napster (and Music tabs at one point) and we know how that turned out... If passed, I suspect many challenges will be made, which will head to the Supreme Court eventually.

I'm all for respecting copyright laws and such, (illegal music downloading killed the music industry), but I don't understand is how posting a video you created with something you own is violating any statutes and/or laws.

Bad legislation in my opinion. I think this'll get shot down, if not the first time, then the later on.

Just wondering, if youtube moved some operations out of the US then could you send in the video and it would return to the US viewers free from this bill? It would be a technicality of the bill, which only affects the US. Would that work?

I think it would be the companies discretion, since their content runs through youtube.

Well, if this doesn't pass I will be happy. I am still happy about violent video games being constitutional right of all Americans. Freedom of speech is awesome.

They aren't a constitutional right per se :)

    Also, for anyone interested: http://news.cnet.com/8301-31921_3-20074680-281/supreme-court-nixes-violent-video-game-law/

This got shot down 7-2, so that maybe this establishes some degree of precedent for this (maybe, maybe not). This fell under the 1st amendment, but I'm not sure the bill in question does or not. (don't think it does)
