Server seems to be down, i'm getting errors and got kicked for no reason.. so it's down propably?

Oh btw, whitelisted means that only people that are approved by admins can connect.

I head-shotted three guys in quick succession and was being accused of aimbotting... five minutes later I am ejected from the game. I join again and then am ejected a minute later.

Was I banned? If so, I am not aimbotting! I shot like 5 times to hit the 3 guys anyway...

And not to be offtopic, yeah, the server doesn't work for me too, but it's prolly because it's full. Darn, I got quite fond of AoS during the past few days.

Why is the server.exe this thing runs on not released yet? It seems to be similar to one of the previous versions, where they also had a modified server executable that would allow a server to be run without the master server.

Of course, it would be that much better if the ACTUAL master server were still running, as I assume the next update will be a major overhaul of the netcode and will likely take longer than the previous patches.

Hey to everyone wondering; yes, the server is up. If any of you cannot connect it is because the server is most likely full.

Why does it keep dropping me? Am I on a ban list? Is there even a ban list?

There is no whitelist, if you cannot connect it is most likely due to A) the server being full or B) the server being laggy as hell and located in Serbia or someplace equally unpleasant.

And with the royal wedding hullabaloo going on, yes...the UK is now equally as appealing to visit as Serbia.

But yes, right now the server is completely maxed out, that's most likely why you cannot join in. Also, I haven't really noticed any lag (I live in the US).

Yeah, this crap is getting real old real fast. The guy hosting says he's going to make the FP server a "whitelist only" server due to hackers and greifers. But that most likely won't happen for a little while.

Anyway, you know the routine. Wait a few minutes and it should be up again.

Haha. I had 94 kills when it crashed. It makes me sad that I lost all of those. :(

I suspect the server runs because it either emulates the master server or bypasses the check altogether. From what I've read, an aos:// address initiates a direct connection without intervention from the master server - correct me if I'm wrong about this.

Emulating the server isn't so difficult. You just have to re-route the connection to an address listening for input and return the values the server wants to hear.

I'm pretty sure the server is still up, it is full though. I haven't been able to log on for a while so it might actually be down, but I don't think it is.

Is the server up? I've tried pasting the URL in but it keeps bringing up a google search (noob talking here).

Try using a different browser, Old Boy. Or DL AoS lite Browser. I think its down because I was on it w/ my friends a few hrs back. We all got kicked at the same time, and couldnt connect back in. Same old error message, full or misconfig. I thought it was just resetting the map, but it shouldnt take this long to reset the map.

I keep getting the full or misconfig message as well. Is that simply because the game is full or is the server down??? :(
