Considering everyone's vehemence with Jackster, this is my proposal:

Trial periods for moderators, as soon as the forum's revamped. Seriously, it couldn't hurt. People willing to put in some time and effort get a fair shot at helping out, give them a small amount of power and see where it goes from there.

If they act and do well, keep them on. If they go out of line, swipe the power away from them. Simple as that. Given the (continued) popularity of this game, mods would HAVE to work for it.

he runs a very successful business, so e obviously has all the time to browse and post on the forums of a video game he isn't part of.

People should really wait and see. You could argue here for months, the game developer will still do whatever he feels like.
I've personally offered my help as a web-developer to him, and I am doing my part by providing http://iammorthor.com/aos to the game community.

If he cares, he will answer. Other than that, why waste some such time with these arguments.

I've already emailed him offering my help in website development, design, and coding, as well as knowledge of quite a few different languages. Still waiting on response.
