@Spengbab: Except, I told them about it. And the "people should be fighting instead" excuse is invalidated, as 3 people spent all of their time griefing it, rather than one person building it.

@Kaede: Sorry, I missed your post up there. What does my name have anything to do with this? Yeah, it's a joke name, so what? And since when was blackface outlawed?

People just don't learn and except something through a couple chat posts.

Edit: She thinks that your name and avatar combined are signs of you being a troll.

@Speng: That seems like a problem to me. And yeah, I've had this name for a long time. If she doesn't like it, then oh well.

Building Swastikas. Look, regardless of what it means, could mean, or what it means to you, it is offensive to some, so you should not do it. Yes, most people are ignorant of the "other" swastikas, so they will assume that you are promoting Nazism. Just deal with it. Nobody cares what you think, it is about the majority with matters like this. The majority believes you are promoting Nazism. Doesn't mean you are, though.

From reading over 3 pages of useless posting, I have concluded that Reuben is either a very smart troll, or a very serious stupid guy.

He put up a useless fight not in the terms of him being a "nazi" how everyone says so. He's using the "Buddhism" as a scapegoat to cover up his real feelings for the symbol. As have I before, I enjoy the shaping and the meaning of the average symbol, therefor I used Buddhism as a scapegoat. Reuben, Stop being a troll or just stop all together.

@GeneralJoe It's useless to be offensive to it, if you're willing to spend your time to argue something that happened 70 years ago and is comepletely irrelevant to the real symbol, then you're oversensitive.

The symbol is still used by Neo-Nazi groups, so "the thing that happened over 70 years ago" is relevant to the present day.

The above was my response to your sentence which did not make sense, so I deciphered it as best I could:
It's useless to be offensive to it, if you're willing to spend your time to argue something that happened 70 years ago and is comepletely irrelevant to the real symbol, then you're oversensitive.
    --->
It's useless to be offended by it, if you're willing to spend your time arguing that something which happened over 70 years ago is relevant to the symbol in modern times, then you're oversensitive.

At this point anyone with any sense is hoping the admins will just lock this place, and that this post you're reading right now is the last.

Even if they don't lock it, this should be the last post. Seriously, everything useful has been said, quite a lot of useless things have been said, and it's time to let this one rest. Let the votekicks in-game decide where it's the swastika builders or the swastika griefers who are in the wrong (I'm saying the swastika builders, but that's just me).

    Give it a rest, people.

Sexually harrassing? Dan, I respect you, but I was there for the "sexual harassment". It was provoked, and honestly a childish insult, no offense to Hitler. It seems to me like Kaede is making a mountain out of a molehill.

Hm. It seems as if the Nazi party using the swastika made it a symbol of, well, Nazism. See, meanings of words and symbols, they change. The swastika is seen as a symbol of the Nazi, at least in the western world. If you're a 2000 year old Buddhist living in a cave, sure, write in Sanskrit. We here in America have our own culture.

Thus, due to popular opinion and the views of the majority, swastika really = Nazi. I say this because it's a symbol, thus an aspect of culture, and who better to build the culture, than the people?

tl;dr cry somewhere else. If you use a swastika, you will be associated with the Nazi party.
