Exactly what it says on the tin.

AFK players cause two big problems that would be solved by autokicking. The first problem they create is on popular servers where they take up space that an active player could be using, but can't because the server is full. The second problem they create is they don't votekick griefers and cheaters, and if you have enough AFK players the votekick system will not work.

The only question is how long should they be allowed to be AFK? I'm thinking something around 7 minutes, and they should get a visual que of some kind to warn them if they are about to be kicked.

7 minutes would be too long, maybe 5.

What I'd like to see is better alt+tab support, so that the game isn't muted and basically frozen when you alt+tab.

(Here's where this ties into your suggestion) Perhaps when you've been "afk" or just alt+tabbed from the game long enough, you will hear a warning sound, warning you that you're about to get disconnected unless you start playing again.

My game works fine when I alt+tab.

You don't experience falling through blocks and ultimately sometimes getting killed when you alt+tab?

Say that again when you've alt+tabbed on top of a building in the Urban Harbor map.
