Apparently he used the spambot, but he didn't, and even if he did, the f@gget who banned him should know that you cant ban someone from the forums for something they did ingame. |

In-game actions do not relate to forum actions. If you think other-wise, you're not fit to be a Moderator+ |

The_Real_Adolf_hitler was using the spam bot, he openly admitted to it here on the forums. |

I agree that in-game actions should not be the sole basis for a ban. Frankly, you guys at RoT, are all in immediate risk of being banned due to association. @ReubenMcHawk: @boss: @Lexsym: If you have the time to respond, find me in IRC @ #aos.forums, don't post it here. |

I'm not technically part of RoT so do I still get banned? |

getting banned on the forum due to in-game actions is silly. I'm sorry if anyone is butthurt and bans off of feelings because they got some flak from someone in game and began to not like them |

I'm not apart of the RoT clan either. I'm in no clan at all. However, I find that all of the admins are very biased now that I'm gone. |

By 'the guys at RoT' I refer to the circle of people in the xat chat who seem bent on making the forums a bad place, and destroying the game we enjoy! His ban is the first, however more bans are likely if your resistance to follow the rules and not exploit the game does not cease. Our 'bias' is to those who contribute to the community. Anything that hinders that is not allowed. |

Let me follow up this analogy; If the crime you did was bad enough, then yes, you would be arrested. The local police would contact the national police (FBI, I believe - I'm not American so I'm not entirely sure), who would contact Interpol, who would issue a warrent for your arrest, whereby you could be arrested by any police force in the world if you were in their area of jurisdiction. Ergo, if you act like a big enough of a dick in-game and spoil it for everyone else, then why should you be allowed into the forums? Not to say I advocate banning people for every minor thing they do in-game, but if it's bad enough - say, hacking - then I have no qualms with them being banned. Although, while there is no registration, there is no real method (barring IP checks) to see which player in-game is whom on the forums. |

we should ask the admins if they see something suspicious in IP logs |

I think the admins are giving some of the mentioned players a chance by actually giving a shit. They're being reasonable, so you should be happy. People aren't banned for doing absolutely nothing - I think we can agree on that. |
