Say a "typical" laptop draws 60 watts on average and the battery lasts 6 hours. These are rough guesses but that comes out to 1,296,000 Joules of energy stored in the battery. You might be able to put out 200 Watts while riding the bike attached to a generator. 200 Watts= 200 Joules/second. So to charge your battery you'd need to ride for 6480 seconds = 1 hour and 48 minutes. |
