What revision is this on? Maybe you downloaded an old pyspades version.

I've noticed issues where the map transfer wont work (on pyspades or vanilla) when the connection of the server or the client is "a bit dodgy". Are you on wireless? Have you tried using a cable to connect?

Finally, change your password from the config :-)
