It would still be useful to be able to ban dueces from your server.

Dueces are noobs, and not everyone likes to play with noobs. I think that they should be able to customize their server as they see fit, and one way to help ensure that the quality of their players is up to standards is to keep all of the dueces out.

Dueces could still play on other servers, but I'm sure some servers would appreciate the ability to close the gate on them -- so to speak.

First off, I don't want them to fill the chat box with:

Secondly, deuces are a lot more likely to be griefers than named players.

Thirdly, dueces are (in general) bad players and if my team has a lot of dueces my team will not win. I don't know about you, but I don't like losing to blue scum.

I couldn't care less if my team was losing or winning. (In fact, I play for the outnumbered team. It means that I have more people to shoot at.)

I also ignore chat, unless some unsuspecting kid slips something that I deem important. The chat logs also amuse me. :3

Word of advice: If you cannot take the heat. Stay the hell out of the furnace then.

1. Chat is something you have to deal with until there is an ignore function of some kind, even named players ask those questions, I've seen it plenty of times.

2. If Deuce griefers feel it is worth the one time name change to enter a non-deuce server to grief, they will. It may cut back a bit but not as much as you'd hope.

Lets ban all the new players! Its not like old players will ever decide to quit causing our community to eventually to die.

Last time I checked, a lot of players take the time to read the readme before they play. It's the ones that don't that some people would want to keep off of their server.

Hey, I played as a Deuce for the first couple of maps I played in. Then I found the Configuration. :P

And it's not that we <3 Deuces. They're just nuisances at worst, that and they make up the brunt of my killscore. :P (Around 1/2 - 3/4ths of my score)

Not all deuces are bad either, I've seen plenty that just play the game like intended and dont say anything.

TL;DR - They're not annoying enough to be globally banned. So yeah.

Obviously we want a player base that consists of middle schoolers who can't be bothered to read the instructions. After all, playing with complete idiots is fun, and stopping them from playing is going to ruin the game forever!

Because you are totally older than the majority of players. I don't think deuces should be banned. They are just players to lazy to change their name/don't know how.

I was a deuce once, more than a month ago. And the only "Noob" question I've ever asked was how to change my name. And I actually played very good.

I play Deuce sometimes, and I've been playing for several months. Are you saying that because I sometimes forget to change my name after a patch, I should not be allowed to play any decent servers?

It seems a lot of you think that I want to ban deuces from ALL servers, despite the fact that I clearly said that not allowing deuces to play on your server should be an *option* and never said that the deuce ban should be mandatory. In fact, I said:

If I want to customize my player base for my server, I should be able to.

Deuces have the same rights to play aos happily as you do.

Well it's not the nameless part that turns people away, it's just the kind of person that a deuce is bound to be. This person has no sense to read up a bit before they play, and is the kind which spews terrible, terrible ideas.

I think the deuce label is a fairly accurate social indicator of sorts.

So when you get a new game you spend a large amount of time reading up all about it? Wouldn't you rather just jump in and have fun?

Of course, if they've been playing the game for a while, it's no excuse. It says it right there in the readme, but no one reads the instructions.
