Autistic people have impaired social function and take part in repetitive activities. A certain kind of devoted builder's in game behavior is very similar to that of an autist. It's a fully understandable context.

This isn't a sandbox game. This isn't a sandbox with guns. This is an FPS with destructible and craftable terrain.

POMF is not a bad idea, but I still call them faggots in-game. They tend to destroy tactical buildings built on front line too when they're too big. But bigger bunkers mean more land covered from safety.

But otherwise, it makes me rage too when "autists" build dicks and POLISH MOTHERFUCKING FLAGS EVERYWHERE behind and when they mess with tent. But I would never grief them, because I'm not POMF, and because playing with idiots is still better than being bored. Maybe with exception of polish flags, I like to add few blue voxels. Also, tent buildings have to fall, not because I want to, but because I need to fucking reach tent.

We could start calling them "parasites" because builders take away from gameplay as a parasite would take from you.

I Honestly agree with Kaede's idea of having a registration sort of thing but not have to pay... I only say this because i too am tired of going into a server and being called an "autist" because im simply just building something...

I think some people use to call them 'fairy-builders', which was a much nicer and non-derogatory term for it.

I don't agree with calling players "autistic" just because they like to build. I usually don't build anything more than bunkers and small forts. If I see somebody's structure being griefed, I help fix it. It's a sandbox game, people are going to play it as they like, whether it be shooting each other, building, or even griefing. Sure not all buildings are of any use to the average player but I think it's fair to say in active servers, most do get used. I use structures built by others as cover quite common (especially in fast-paced maps like Pinpoint).

Groups/clans set out to attempt to deter builders from building by means of griefing do nothing more but encourage further griefing. It benefits nobody. I think most would rather have a builder minding his own business (or perhaps building tactical structures) than a griefer who provides absolutely nothing but trouble for a team.

If people want to build and they aren't hurting you, I say let them be. Some argue that they're "taking a spot that could be filled by another player", true, but who's to say that other player won't be a griefer or cheater? It's not a very strong argument.

As for the term "autistic", I don't feel it's appropriate to call others that, but it is the internet and people are going to say what they want, it's up to those in charge of the server(s) to determine their tolerance.

On a semi-related note, I fully support "build-only" servers. In fact, I don't see why anybody would object to this at all. If you're going to complain about "useless builders" being in a particular server, why not let them play on their own? They can collaborate with other builders and create some pretty unique stuff.

People don't really have a problem WITH autism, because autism is a problem in itself.

The only way to make the world autism-free would be to euthanize every single autist (also works against AIDS) but then new autist individuals will be born (won't happen with AIDS, so why don't we euthanize everyone who has AIDS?)

Griefers are a good thing. They get rid of the auti- builders' golden phallic idols first and then move on to the useful stuff.

Cheaters get kicked almost instantly.

Without Builders,or "autists",the universe would destroy itself.The same for griefers.They maintain the order,keeping the universe from collapsing on itself.
