Would anyone be interested in hosting this map? It is an island-to-island combat map involving beach defense, water combat, and island invasions, with many opportunities for fortifications and lookout points. Here are a few screenshots: Download Link: Feedback would be greatly appreciated :D |

Well you run the Server program in the Ace of Spades folder, type in "Island Skirmish" [After you download it and put the map in the .vxl folder of course], then choose the settings and you're set! |

Just played in this map. Playing as blues has its disadvantages, mainly the fact that if the enemy intel is in ~F5 (the bay/cove) it is very hard to get it out of there, unless with a large team - which in ordinary games is hard to do. Edit: looking at greens point of view, there is a similar problem with the other island, except - blues can hide alot easier than greens. I think the height of the mountaints doesn't bode well for gameplay.. Looks nice, playability alright, balance not the best. Not bad fun to play though. |
