Relax. Most of the stuff that's said in there isn't really serious. Also I would like to mention that Lexsym has NEVER been an actual member of RoT, and he will probably never be a member of RoT anytime soon. @spengbab |

Not to be the devil's advocate here, but Thunder's right. Not everything in there is said seriously. Earlier today, when Tank was in there, many of our members jokingly mentioned using "ub3r-1337 h4x" to crash the master server. Is it true? No, they were just saying it to screw with the guy. But still, change the password as a precaution. And I'd like to remind everyone that Lexsym has never been a member of RoT. |

I'm pretty sure we're not letting Lex back into the xat chat room for a bit. And RoT-Representative is right, he never was a member of RoT, just a regular in the chat. |

Let's just blame it on RoT anyways. <joke> |

@Tocksman: Why? We all disapprove of Lex's actions, and of phishing in general. |

wouldn't this be a more appropriate topic to be posted on the actual forums of which are about to be "hacked" everyone here will think they need to change their passwords anyways, op (danheeze), since those forums are running phpbb, of which I've had extensive experience with on installing on POMF's website and several other instances in the distant past, it is by every means impossible to see other member's passwords within the administration control panel and throughout the site. The only thing you can do is view the user's IP address (and seriously, no one is getting "hacked" when someone else learns it) and CHANGE the user's password, not view it. ALSO, Keep in mind that this is late on the topic; however, I am talking in context during 3 hours ago. Now, in comparison with the time he said that, and when shortly after you posted this thread (which i assume was approximately 15 minutes based off of reaction time, planning, uploading the picture, thinking of what to say, typing and posting this thread, and other miscellaneous things such as real life variables like taking a piss or going to grab a quick bite; of course this is assuming that you don't actually care enough to post this issue immediately after the incident; I'm being very generous with my guess), lexy would of had to learn to modify code and alter the index.php file to observe clients typing text in a specific box and write data to a specified folder location; also without modifying the site's appearance to a point where users would become suspicious. This requires extensive knowledge in PHP and to search for a different individual's implementation of a PHP login keylogger as a quick-fix (script kiddies) for this very specific situation would be absurd. In fact, I just searched for this to confirm this fact and most results are this silly virus downloads or ad sites. Useful content I did find were unsolved discussion topics about facebook logins. If lexy were to do this from scratch, which is virtually what he would have to do, as there are no pre-coded login/index keylogger files for a phpbb forum v3.08, it would take him at least a few hours assuming he knows exactly what he's doing and doesn't have to read up on coding. Keep in mind we are throwing out any obvious phishing scams; which is a very basic web template with only two boxes that say "username:" and "password:" with a white background, no css styling, and times new roman web font. Creating a phishing site that looks like phpbb would be a whole different story. This would include making CSS and HTML from scratch, which includes tables, exact colors, etc. In short, I am saying that there is absolutely no way he could have humanly possibly done this in the 15 minute time period lag mentioned earlier, and a more appropriate sentence would have been "lexy has planned/has a plan to create a phishing site/post user information" and possibly something along the lines of ", so you may want to avoid providing your information on the community forums." The original sentence makes viewers think that Lexy already has obtained their passwords, and their resulting hysteria causes all sorts of unnecessary anger/scare/etc towards/due to/because of all opposite parties. |
