when enemys are following you in a tunnel what can you do?...nothing! not unless you have a grenade trap! my simple thought is when someone triggers this trap it will insta kill them like a regular grenade would! the setup time should take 7-5 seconds! |

That actually sounds like a good Idea, but it shouldn't blow up right when the trigger is pulled, it should drop from the ceiling and blow up after 3-5 seconds. |

It's called a mine. >.> |

tyler to you it is but to us it isn't |

What if both were implemented - but grenade traps would not get set off by friendlies, whereas a mine would. To counteract griefing at spawn with mines, friendlies would not be allowed to place mines in the spawn area. This also means that you couldn't rely on mines to protect your intel - you need to find the enemies' pathways and mine them. However, grenade traps would be visible to the enemy (I'm thinking two sticks at each edge of the block depending on the direction you're facing, kind of like a tripwire set-up), so would only be useful in low-light conditions like tunnels, or in doorways. |

I don't know about grenade traps, they just remind me of 80's action movies, but mines hell yeah! And while you're at it add barbwire: makes damage if you walk thru it, you could shoot thru it, and it could be destroyed with only grenades and shovel because IRL at least some of 'em have a function you can cut wire with. |

There is plenty you can do when being followed in a tunnel. Things that usually take much quicker to do than setting up this 'trap' of yours. If you have time to stand still for 5-7 seconds laying a trap, you have more than enough time to use more conventional strategies to evade pursuers. As for mines and barbed wire, look them up, they've been discussed before. |

ok ok lower the setup time by about 3 seconds! plus claymore is a bad idea! we need to think outside the box and i thought outside the box! |
#70315 asher418 Modder/Shader Posted 13 years ago |
all that pops in my mind is a claymore |
#70330 [MLG] paul poopoo Posted 13 years ago |
I don't see the difference between what you suggested and a mine. |
#70332 KomradeTyler Kosmonaut Posted 13 years ago |
exactly but how many games these days do you see with grenade trap virtually none |
#70340 asher418 Modder/Shader Posted 13 years ago |
Fallout 3 and New Vegas. |
#70691 FinnFrag Member Posted 13 years ago |
yea but those are trashy games (no offence) |
#70693 asher418 Modder/Shader Posted 13 years ago |
it should be tripwire because it allows enemy's to deactivate them ... |
#70695 TWiiSt3D Soul_SnipeZ Posted 13 years ago |
basically what im talking aabout |
#70703 asher418 Modder/Shader Posted 13 years ago |
how often do you even have someone on the other team following you, but not shooting to kill? Most maps these days don't even have tunnels (RIP Randomly generated ones). you're just re-branding the claymore to be "unique" |
