I'm going to start making weapons by myself,and I wanted to know some tips and tricks for SLAB6,I'm pretty new in this thing. =P |

All I can really say is don't try making a gun from scratch, it's pretty difficult, I suggest playing around with the default gun to get a good sense of SLAB6. |

I've been playing a bit,I made a gun,or something that looks like a gun,using the chair.I dont know what gun it is,something like a mix from a non-bullpup AUG A1 and a G36E.At first I was trying to make an double-barreled shotgun,then I started playing with the thing.I thing I'm going to paint here and there and post to see if anyone likes it. =P |

Okay so,see this one and tell me if it's good,It is my first weapon =P General view: From the sights: I have a problem here,when I try to test the weapon in game,I have nothing in my hands.I'm testing it as a rifle. |

you've probably named it incorrectly in your kv6 file folder, so the game looks for the file named "semi" and doesnt find anything so it doesnt show anything. btw you did name the file semi and not rifle right? As for tips for kv6 I would start with a gun that has a similiar stock to the gun you are trying to make, and use that for a base. Then you need to know the rules of thumb, the handles on most weapons are just three squares that overlap in the corners, here's an example: http://i.imgur.com/4iWQV.jpg hope this helps a little bit and I know that i didn't really explain it perfectly and if you dont get something just ask or whatever |

Yeah,I've done something like that,the gun is 3 blocks wide,the mag is 1 block wide and I made the handle to looks like the one in the AUG A1.I'm workin in a double-barrel shotty,and maybe a sniper rifle.Thanks for the tips. |

I'm having one problem here.I can see the weapon now,but it need to be rotated 90 degrees,and I needs to know where is the angle to direct my weapons,so that i dont make the same mistake here. |

well the slab6 program forces you to keep your camera level, but not to keep it at a certain angle, so what you are going to have to do is recreate you entire gun in a different slab6 where you know for sure which way its supposed to be facing, i t kinda sucks but i dont know of any other way :/ |

Ya,I've done it for a double-barrel shotgun and a sniper I was doing.I've remade the entire gun with exactly the same sizes.I've took all that time to make a simple rocket launcher cause the first time it was facing the wrong direction,then I had to rotate it 90º.But,then I've got it wrong once again,and had to turn it 180º to face the right direction. =/ |
