I think we see a CSS or SF look-alike almost every month, don't you think it's getting a bit crowded for these games? |

The reason for this is that they sell. A company will put anything out if they know it will sell. |

If you look at some of the highest game sales of all time they mostly consist of CoD and other shooters. Marketers are stupid and only see the money. So the marketers tell the designers that the company wants shooters or your fired. Then the designers try to make a new game made of mostly old and well tested ideas. Then when the "new" game is shipped out the gaming people buy the game, no matter how much of a clone it is. Now, because people bought the game they make at least fifty remakes where very little changes. All of this is pissing off the people who are now bored of the clones, but the markets only hear the consumers. So here is our problem. There is no way to deal with this. If we don't buy others will. And if we do buy they will make more. |

I have to agree. There is actually one game I've seen just recent, Mission Against Terror, and I must say it fits the bill of a stand out game. It has nice, crisp graphic environment and smooth game play, not to mention a good storyline. |
