I think Sham can help you with that. He's been using almost every single one of your maps.

    Yea,

Sham, Izzy, BF, and a few other's are running servers, and giving me great feedback!

I just want to give better quality to them, rather than patches, and broken maps.

The only thing I didn't like about your earlier maps was the incredibly steep walls and drop offs.

1 dollar a slot is like something you'd pay for HQ source games...this isn't source and takes like no CPU power to run...so yeah lol I'd charge $0.40 on my chicago box if you want.

I've been monitoring Ace of Spades for a while, a good friend of mine loves it, along with many others.

This is in regards to game server hosting, where the dedicated server is managed and you're given control of the AoS server application. If people are interested in a VDS or dedicated server I've already got those available with high reviews as well.

The main issue before I'd want to start hosting it for money, is the standard server program doesn't have the features required by most companies.
Command line variable to set the Port and max player count would be great.
When starting up the server, having it remember the previous settings in a separate config file would be great so that it doesn't have to be entered each time.

Now most of these issues are fixed with Pyspades, which I'm checking out to see if it's possible. The issue with this is building up a client group based on a 3rd party program.
If Pyspades had a "guarantee" on reliability by the AoS developers with each version update of Ace of Spades, it would be very welcomed(Such as when client updates were released, Pyspades would already be compatible for the updated clients).
Current concerns would be if it was discontinued or became so featured that it increased cost of hosting.
It's a very well done program from what I have seen so far :)

As for the pricing, I'd have to benchmark a full server for a while to see resource usage.
RAM usage currently is 60MB with a few clients on, and CPU usage is currently the same as a full 11 slot source based server.

JoJoeStinky, you asked me who my provider was, but never got back to me. Been trying to tell you ever since. :|

A friend of mine hosts good enterprise VPSes. You'll have to contact him by IRC or AIM if you're interested in renting a server. He's a very good provider and knows what he's doing.

I've got a few test servers online in various locations for people to test out.
    They are using Pyspades.

    Thanks Jest 5!!

Unfortunately your shopping cart software does not work.

If you change your mind about your order, and go back, it adds a new order to your balance, and there is no way to edit your cart.

....(crys like a baby) But seriously, your willing to pay for a AOS spades server? There are some port forwarding tutorials so you can host it yourself and buy tacos and chocolate with your money.

    @JoJoeStinky

When your on Step 4, Confirm order there is an edit server configuration link, that you can change the server slots and the username and password. But yea it seems the only way to clear the shopping cart is to push the start over button.

Host a game server with an upload speed of 20kb/sec DSL? Not going to work very well. If you had cable you could probably host a 10-20 person server, and with fiber you would be good hosting a 32 person server. Also DSL is the best internet I can get, I assume JoJo is in a similar position. SO my chooses are: Rent a server, rent a VPS server, rent a full dedicated server, or cololocate a dedicated server that I have. The cheapest, rent a game server.

Sandcrawler beat me to it, but yeah you can click the edit server configuration link, or click start over which just empties your shopping cart.

    A full 32/32 server uses 60-100% of a core at 3.8 Ghz.
110MB of RAM, 150KBytes to 400KBytes of bandwidth.
    In case anyone was curious.
