    Why should the person who got the kill be punished. Camping is a legitimate strategy. All killcams do is take that option away.

    It could mean more kills for the camper. More people come running hoping to get revenge. Or you could move after you gain the kill. This also makes an advantage for the camper/sniper. The enemy thinks they're somewhere, but the camper is waiting for them some where else. Everyone benefits

    I disagree. The camper takes the effort to get into the base, fight the enemy team by himself. It's only fair that the enemies should take the effort to find him themselves.

    the only person who benefits is the one who was killed, they now have preemptive knowledge of exactly where the shot came from. Based on just that information, you can make a good guess as to where they may be given the amount of time between death, spawn, and recon.

    If a camper is FORCED to move, he's no longer camping. Killcam is essentially metagaming, but for FPS instead of tabletop games.

    OK, then maybe not a killcam. Maybe when you die, you always face the direction the bullet came or the grenade exploded

    If you don't see the bullet that killed you, you don't deserve to know where it came from.

    Actually, now that i think about, killcams would make fighting one sided. I was thinking about Halo and CoD. But those games are more run and gun and AoS isn't as fast paced

    3) Better anti-toll/shithead mechanisms

    A killcam would ruin this game :(
    Also to be honest I don't miss block damage; it's more intense this way.

    That would be badass. Urban warfare is super exciting. Suddenly, destroying buildings and watching windows becomes the single most important thing.

    We really just need a world editor.

    A world editor would be amazing! That would attract everyone! You could make a city, valley, mountain, or an ocean with islands! Man, that is just what this game needs, this is where you would get the variety!

    Whose arguing? We're having a discussion about suggestions. Also, we're keeping your topic nice and bumped, you should be happy!

    Island maps would be awesome. Then we'd actually need a boat or something though.

    EDIT: Sorry Jackster, didn't know you were a mod, I'll stop being a smartass now. I figured mods would look down on meta threads though (that would be threads about threads, not threads about the game).

    3. A votekick announcement (e.g. Votekick for duece11 started)
    4. An ingame menu when pressing escape instead of kick (if killed while going into this menu, you get removed from your team and go back to the press b for blue press g for green screen to prevent farming)
    5. New Weapon

    1) Win condition - Map resets after x number of intel captures.
    2) Grid lines on map - Not too small though.
    3) Rifle damage to blocks - I think maybe a little less damage per shot than when it was originally in.
    Those are the only ones I really care about, but for completeness I'll include the next two.
    4) Team Death Match - Give people a chance to try a different game type. Kind of what already happens on servers now. :P
    5) A different map generation algorithm - Not really that important, but would be something nice.

    From most to least desired:

    1)Grid lines with numbered/lettered rows and columns
    2)Win Condition
    3)Alternative to Iron sights (like hip fire zoom in)
    4)Artillery
    5)Landmines

    1) WORLD EDITOR!!
    2) new algorithms for map generating maybe with an option for mountainous, urban, jungle, desert
    3) New game types from an in-game menu
    4) a couple more weapons or even soldier classes with their own advantages and disadvantages for how you like to play, maybe a very long range sniper or a melee, obviuosly sniper rifles should come with a disadvantage, maybe you dont get grenades or something
    5) instead of a killcam maybe just go to a third person view of your body a bit like the screen you see when you choose green or blue at the start, this way the only disadvantage this would cause to the killer is if they go and teabag you!! XD

    1)NO Killcam--this game revolves around positioning and this would totally kill immersion.Please NO killcam. PLEASE!

    2)Love the idea of reinforcing blocks. at some level, having varying block quality would be awesome. limit the colored blocks to just simple low-grade blocks.

    3)Related to suggestion1: get rid of the 'you killed xxx' because this also greatly reduces immersion. If you are shooting up into a mountain looking for a sniper, you SHOULDN'T know if you got him! You've got to go check or just hope that he doesnt pop out later! I think this would be an AWESOME easy addition...subtraction :D

    4)absolutely positively NEEED better audio. As in bullet audio. At least temporarily add a little directional guide. But true directional audio would be SWEET!

    5)more random textures. I love the over head map, but i hate seeing the patterns repeating.

    6)one more because this is important and probably a heck of a lot easier than some of my suggestions: better base/intel identification on the map. this really would help with getting teams working together amongst other things!

    Regarding artillery, the idea is pretty awesome but I think there would be a lot of testing that would need to be done. there's a lot of possibilities for how to make this function as a game mechanic, I wouldn't even know where to begin!
