I have a laptop that doesn't have a number pad on it. I heard that the numpad intensifies the colors. But how do i do that if i dont have a number pad

You can load the "tracer.kv6" color palette, which has better reds and blues.

go to options (i think, it's in one of the things in the topleft of the screen) then replace pallet, then go to your ace of spades folder and search for tracer.kv6, once you find it (you can figure out the rest)

go to the gun you want to edit, then click tools, then click replace pallet, then go to the same file that had the kv6 file you are editing, in that same file there should be a kv6 file called tracer.kv6, then click it, then click ok, OK?

My laptop doesn't have Number pad either but there is blue (can be different color though) "Fn" button. With that you can activate Numlock and use numbers which are on right side of the keyboard. That's your Number pad.

Just make a heightmap and a bitmap of you pallet, and use the heightmap importer.

Chop the bottom row off the pallet block you made in vox, and press F7 to save the file.. (cursor on the pallet block you made.)

Now any time you want to use the pallet, just load the starter file you made.

Remember that all colors are not possible when making a pallet. It gets it close, but not always, so it is good to do 2 or 3 shades of the color you actually want, then choose from what it gives you...

I usually delete everything but 1 block, and resave the "Starter" file. (I have never ever used the default blob!!)

    Nice trick JoJoeStinky!

You could use this to generate terrain in a .vxl file, export to slab6, build a building on that terrain, then import back into voxed! It's a real shame slab6 files don't have 32 bit colors, the way it is now you'd have to repaint the final result manually in voxed.
