Why can't I just change my gun at the tent instead of having to kill myself every time?

It's not really a big deal or anything, I just think that the tent should have more of a function than just a health/ammo refill. I also don't like going through the death animation every time I want to quickly change to the semi to kill a spawn camper. By the time I respawn, someone else has already gotten my kill. That's my thoughts anyway.

I've always found it annoying how you can't do this. 1+

I've always figured we should be able to change to any gun at any time, but I'd settle for this- like the Star Wars Battlefront system of allowing a class change at a friendly control point.

at this early on in the game, I really cant justify the time needed for this to the usage in game.

@outwrangle I think nobody is gunna argue against you.
As its been brought up again, I also vote that everyone should carry all weapons at all times. Much more skillful and fun gameplay that way.

The only "real" problem I could see with this is that you could camp inside your tent with a SMG, then when everyone is dead you could switch to a semi and go camp them.

But who's not to say they won't do the same thing...

But you can't really fire the SMG from the tent. I don't remember being able to use grenades while standing on the tent, either. Or have things changed?

Just checked, it's true. I swear, I thought gunfire/weapons on tents were disabled.

In any case, anyone can do that now minus switching weapons. Adding the ability to switch would just be letting people switch weapons without killing themselves to.

Yeah but the death causes them to not do it because then they lose their killstreak/air strikes. :P

The whole airstrike/killstreak reward thing needs to be dealt away with, honestly, but that's for another topic.
