My ideas so far for Improving AoS and making it a better, more interesting game than it already is! 1: Add a better points system, acheiving one point per kill is sort of dull, and it makes me sad to see something so plain, maybe gaining 5 points per kill, 10 points per headshot would be better and gaining 15 points for capturing intelligence and an extra +2 points to however kill you get for killing an enemy carrying intel. I would love to see some better indications to whether you killed someone or not, for example like in most FPS's nowadays, there is always some sort of indicator stating "KILL" or "+50". 2: I would love to see some variety of default maps to choose from for the servers, because, unlike most games. We have very detailed, very smart custom maps but some of the default maps are, i would say, quite dull. 3: Better scoreboard for showing off how many kills you have how many headshots how many intel captures/prevents or how many kills you've had while carrying the intel! I think this would make the game so satisfying to play knowing that you could show off to everyone that you got so many kills and deaths while you were capturing a point for the team. 4: I would love... absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE, for team chat, voice chat, commands, maybe even shouts to be added for a more interactive gaming experience. Now here i'm not talking about a expertly manufactured command system like the (oh so epic) Valve games that are out today, but a simple, fun way to communicate to players! 5: make these ideas go forward. I would love kills to be more interesting and rewarding, so when I get a 10 kill streak it's like: FROSTY IS ON FIRE. I know it's not a totally unique idea but I think ace of spades would become more interesting. |

1. I do like the idea of varying points, but the amounts you've used really downplay the importance of capturing intel. It's quite easy to score two headshots, even in a row. Regardless of that, I do like the idea. As for the indicators, I'm not too sure about that. I'm tired of shit obscuring my vision, and would like that to stay out of this. As an option, I'd say "sure", but as an inherent feature, no. 2. The default maps are quite dull because they've just got one generation: hills for blue, and rivers for green. Even if it's generated different each time, it's still the same basic hills VS. rivers. If there were more options, like pure flatlands, forest, canyons, caverns, urban, or anything else you can think of for generation, it'd be much less noticeable. On the subject of custom maps, I've enjoyed quite a few of them, and look forward to making one myself. 3. I wouldn't mind a more detailed scoreboard, but I think that can take a backseat for the time being. I do like the idea, though. 4. Voice chat would be damned awesome, but that's some crazy shit right there. I don't know jack about programming, so by default I'm thinking that VOIP won't be around for a long while. Thankfully, Skype does an alright job, but ingame voice-chat would be incredible. 5. I can't make the ideas go forward, but I'd reject your offer either way. No offense, friend. :v Edit: Frosty's idea is pretty damned wicked as well. I'd like to see classic killstreak messages make a comeback rather than AIRSTRIKES AND HELICOPTERS. Got sick and tired of that "reward" crap months ago. |

1) i hate the points you have right now because itd make capturing intel pointless, LITERALLY. its easy to head shot in this game, so making it where getting 2 headshots is worth MORE than the goal of the game is just stupid. and btw it says in very red letters "you killed XXX", that and the body flying should be the only indicator you need. 2) default map only has one generator, and its heavily rifle based, id love to see it updated. but i dont think thats what youre asking because i have no clue what youre asking. choosing randomly generated maps? what? 3) No to this as well. the last thing we need is someone flipping the fuck out because "half their team sucks/building/killstealing/etc" every 10 seconds because now they arnt number 20 on the high scores. while it isnt a terrible idea, what it does the community is even worse. 4) we already have a gobal and team ingame chat. not sure what youre asking about. but no to voice chat. because this is pretty much all wed hear. |

Ill mention before I prefer this game as a deathmatch game with a flat narrow map (you can check the server "Goon Haven" it has the perfect map) 1. Not very necessary, I play this game for fun, not for points, and there isnt really an unlock system and I hope there wont be. 2. Well, as I mentioned, I like flat maps so pretty much only 1 is needed... 3. Believe me, the last thing you want in this game is players only thinking about their KD ratio. Best to have a scoreboard like in TF2, ping and score. 4. +1 This will be great |

There's one thing I'm glad that MiMx pointed out: K/D. This is something that plagues FPSes today. If you do not have a K/D ratio above 2:1, you are immediately SHITE, according to everyone else. If we were to display kills, captures and ping (maybe assists too), that's perfect, but let's keep that little crappy statistic known as "deaths" out, for the time being at the very least. We don't need builders getting booted left and right because of childish twats noticing they've bit the bullet 25 times but only made 3 kills. |

I don't want the game to resemble call of duty at all, As i completely resent that game franchise. My main point would be probably getting a little "HEADSHOT" or "KILL" when I succeed at killing someone. The `very red' writing at the bottom is very hard to read for people playing on a laptop like me. Also, the body dropping is quite a shit indicator if you are doing some far away sniping. I wouldn't really give a flying fuck if they would put deaths in the scoreboard, because I don't want a bunch of retards on the server going "hahaha that guys shit look how many times he died" but instead I would love to see kills, captures and overall points and ping on my scoreboard in the future. By choice of default maps i meant choose wether to spawn a random forest, jungle, urban area, or just plain old trenches. by voice chat I meant there should be a limit to how loud/often you speak into the microphone instead of a child screaming fuck and nigger into my ears all the time like a prepubescent homophobic racial machine gun. And for the vision obscuring, you could perhaps turn off the numbers and instead have a guy's voice telling you whether or not you got a kill/headshot/capture. +1 TO FROSTY FOR THAT ADDITION, A customisable killstreak message would be a beautiful addition to this game. I'm out. |

I would also love for you to fix the fall damage when you hit water, I think it should prevent fall damage so some of us could use it as an advantage... |

@Alucard I do know that, but this is a game. It doesn't have to be 100% realistic but i'm sure alot of us are used to falling into water and avoiding damage like in minecraft for example, because I like to walk around the maps with my pickaxe, i sometimes mistake this for minecraft and jump into water, killing myself. That's no fun, is it? |

Red vs Blue cannot be implemented through mods. Currently there is only 1 set of player models which vary automatically by which team. 1. Don't like this idea I'm afraid. Headshots are very common and actually managing to duck for cover and kill via a body shot requires skill as well. Also it is not a TDM game, it's CTF. 2. Different maps are easy to install, and it is up to the server owner. 3. See #1. Still see no need to show headshots except for random stats on a database somewhere. 4. No need to implement... use mumble/ventrilo/skype if you must for team communication, and there are currently no commands you could really implement using voice.. would personally be a bad use of developers time. 5.
