I've had enough of people ruining the game by teamswitching, griefing the teams buildings and then switching back to the other team to justify it. You can votekick them but they explain that technically they aren't cheating because everyone can do it. Even legitimate players do it as "tactics".

Well, make it so you can only switch teams once per 15 minutes. Because this is just ridiculous exploitation of a weakness in the game that could very easily be fixed.

It's already a funktion for pyspades servers...

Can we make it a mandatory function then? I see no reason not to. But thanks i'll give them a go.

What about team balancing?
Sometimes I change teams very often to level things up - personally we need a votekick UI to make it easier to kick griefers that decided to pop-up.

Perhaps have a key that highlights everyone's names on your screen? 'z' maybe?
On pressing this player indicator key, it would do something like this:

That's a good idea. I understand there are flaws to this system. But the fact that other servers are already using it shows that it can work. Besides, you'd get 1 team switch every 15 minutes. Generally I always join the team with the fewest players. Honestly I have not seen a match where a team has gone from few players to a high number of players to few players again. Usually it is unbalanced for a while, then balanced for a while, then unbalanced. But if you need the extra teamswitches for something else, then I suppose it wouldn't work. I'm just fed up with people calling me a douche for bringing it up, because they say "I helped my team and you want to kick me for it?"

I was playing on Mesa two or three days ago... Griefers were teamswitching constantly. The server restarted and they just kept ruining every building. I don't care at all how dumb they are, but it was somewhat annoying to see them destroying everything in a fresh map and then switching teams.

I don't know how someone can grief like this and call himself a "legitimate player" who does "tactics"... OMG! Pro Player! :)

If the entire green team is being a bunch of asshats and making an impenetrable camper fort, I will dislodge them by any means necessary. If you don't like it, then stop building giant multocolored penises and just shoot me (I'll stop if asked nicely and most of the actual griefers will just give up on you if repeatedly TK'd).

Its war. Sometimes it will be unbalanced. Suck it up and try and win, or just lose and wait for a rollback. Don't be an asshole and ruin something it if they made there fort impenatrable.

Um, yeah, who the hell says I was camping? Also, because two wrongs don't make a right? I don't build giant forts i'm just sick of people griefing and then calling it legitimate. If you wanna have it off with people building giant inpenetrable forts have it off to the game developers because they even have giant forts encouraged in their trailer!

Teams should be auto balanced like in team fortress and you can't switch otherwise. Besides it would stop people from arguing over colors...

I don't think team switching should be done away with entirely. On some servers, like Goon Haven, I usually like playing green, and there's not always a green space. And since GH is usually full, I stay on the blue side and check every minute or so.
