  • The griefer theory graph

***WARNING*** READ IT ALL DON'T BE LAZY THERE IS NO TL;DR ***WARNING***

Okay so I remember one of you guys made a graph of how much griefers want to grief.

So your theory was that 1 block towers are very appealing for griefers. And that the better reinforced the structure is the less they are likely to destroy it.

Well I was on MLG's pinpoint for 3 hours and 38 minutes, and built a three block thick wall. that took me an hour because I was constantly getting killed and it has been griefed 2 times during that time. The second I finished it I heard a noise... someone griefed one half of the wall so far. In 30 seconds half of it was gone. 3 people including me came and started repairing it. I thought, forget it, I'll build a tower, and let one half be just one block thick. Guess what, there were 3 levels of the wall. The third one got griefed by blue(it was unfinished anyway), the second one died because some SMG noob kept shooting at it for a while so there were holes everywhere. Surprisingly the stairs to the 3rd level stayed for the whole 3 hours. Well so I thought forget it and started building a tower. 12x15 blocks. How did I do that? I FILLED IT. Yes, the whole tower was 100% blocks, not a single air capsule. eg. I made every level of the tower 1 block less eg. the stairs were by the side. I overall used about 1500-2700 blocks on it until it reached a point you couldn't build more levels. It took me 75 minutes, incl. about 10 minutes of repairing after 2 griefers. Then I was building safe walls so you wouldn't fall while climibing, by then half of the team was on the tower. Blue were pushed back VERY far about half way through their base, hiding behind griefed blocks and sniping. About 15 minutes in 2 griefers started griefing the down, I didn't notice. Another griefer joined in to grief the stairs. So far I was repairing a blue griefer that didn't go very far so I went down and the building was pretty much about to collapse. 7 people were on the top there. And we all wished we could votekick them out but the blue team were votekicking their own griefer right then so we started to repair it. But the rest didn't know, as I said, 7 people were sniping on the top. Haha now that I remember it, it looked a little like empire state building :D Well so I got killed by blue, when I came back everyone was gone, just one griefer who got instantly shot, 3 guys were running to the tower ASAP. The last shot was fired by blue... It collapsed, it wasn't very far from the ceiling. It just went down, the wall did last a little but it was 1 block thick the time I quit.

During the 3 hours we've kicked 13 griefers. Yes. You heard me. And that doesn't count the griefers that left during votekick (2) and afks (1).

So that's how it is, griefers gonna grief no matter what. I think I will try something in pyspades, maybe I'll come up with a simple solution.

tl;dr version: You made something it got griefed, you kicked the griefers.

you're right griefers will grief... no matter what...
But 16 griefers in 3 hours... is that really that much =? I mean aren't there servers with much more griefers?

It was 13 successful votekicks labeled griefer, a few were on blue I didn't check, but 5 were initiated by me. It was a big structure so I think it's more like that:
    *drawing a graph please wait*

Okay I'm sorry if this sounds offensive, but there's NO WAY you can have all of those EXACT statistics. -.- Unless you're an Admin you couldn't keep track of every single one of those, and even THAT would be an extremely daunting challenge. It's like trying to count how tall every blade of grass in your back yard is over the course of a week.

Soap, you should take an IQ test. It will be better if you'll live in a mental hospital for the rest of your life.

I was the guy who posted that graph ;)

Wish I could have seen your tower! Sounds like it had a ratio of about 5/1 (=64/15)
