- It should shoot slower than the semi (1 - 1.5 after every shot) |

-Give it very large recoil |
#101601 Neat Member Posted 13 years ago |
@neat that would imbalance it again, because it would make the sniper unuseable at range with the sway |

says a deuce |

... You're talking about the rifle? I thought you were talking about adding sniper rifles to the game. Stop calling rifles sniper rifles. |
#101612 Neat Member Posted 13 years ago |
Yes, I was talking about adding sniper rifles. The rifle is a good weapon to use at long to middle range - this gun should have sway so the really long ranges can be done by the sniper rifle. What I mean by that is simply that the sway would make it difficult to stay on target - especially on long ranges - and get a headshot. |
#101657 Deuce_X Member Posted 13 years ago |
Yeah, it would be difficult. What's the problem? If you're that far from the enemy, don't you think it should be hard to kill them? They can't kill you back, after all. Also, you're suggesting having 2 shots to the body to kill anyone. Without sway, that would be overpowered. Getting a headshot from a long range should never be an easy task. |

Neats correct here |

Well, I'm not sure what you mean by sway. Do you mean the recoil, the upward pull after a shot? If yes, I am talking about a sight that moves a little, like when you're breathing, and the scope / sight moves a little because you are not able to keep it in the right position all the time. If you played call of duty - the thing that makes your scope move and that you are able to stop with holding the breath |

COD suggestions no major recoil sway yes |
#101674 [AB]DemonFoxClove Mini Moose Posted 13 years ago |
If I was talking about recoil, I'd say recoil. My post actually differentiated between the two. It needs sway AND recoil in order for it to be balanced. Sway being, what you just said, and recoil being the upward movement of the gun. |

There we go ^ |

@falco Ive been playing this since 0.26 and I realized that the semi was originally made to be the only weapon in the game - useful at most distances and somebody with a good aim is also superior to smgs and shotguns, one shot to the head and an smg cant do anything. |

Undoubtedly true its a rock paper scissors but the scissors have more power |
#101693 [AB]DemonFoxClove Mini Moose Posted 13 years ago |
What has that problem got to do with sniper rifles? |
#101698 Neat Member Posted 13 years ago |
@Neat Or to make it short: Long range: Sniper (Securing areas, supporting from long range) |
#101758 Deuce_X Member Posted 13 years ago |
Just make the semi's shots be affected by gravity over a very long range. Meaning you would get less results firing from the sort of ranges sniper rifles work at. OR add more fog, and make it so that using the sniper rifle allows you to see through more of it. |

@neat +1 |

Awesome. We're in agreement then. |
#102017 Neat Member Posted 13 years ago |
That would be really nice. I'd love a good sniper rifle |
#104614 Gibbo Member Posted 13 years ago |
mm its decent... idle sway has not always been my favorite sniping balance-er mechanic tho. |
#104624 slenderman Member Posted 13 years ago |
if there is a " sniper rifle " added the semi needs to be reworked i propose turning it into an assault rifle see http://ace-spades.com/forums/topic.php?id=4213#post-58810 for more details. |
