Pro-tip: press ESC>Back to Menu>Quit game for 64 diamonds.
Also don't get toomanyitems, single player commands or any mods.

The game doesn't have a goal its a sandbox game you can do anything you want.
Heres the noob guide:
1. Punch trees for wood
2. Make a Pickaxe, Sword, Axe, Shovel, and Hoe
3. Build a house
4. Go mine coal and craft torches
5. Go mine Iron then make iron tools
6. Go mine Diamond and then make diamond tools
