    I just tried creating a "host" application that would display the client within it to no avail. The client overrides everything and forces full-screen.

    Whenever I press the Start button on my keyboard the game exits fullscreen but it goes back to full screen when I click on it.

    Yes, there is - use DxWnd (I do this).

    It's not perfect, you have to hardcode a server URL into the launch parameters (e.g. set target like this: C:\Games\Ace of Spades\client.exe "aos://1473137261")

    Also, while it IS windowed it does still stay on top of everything else on the desktop. However, it does allow you to alt+tab without losing health (does that even happen anymore?) and allows you to have other things open on the right hand side of the screen next to it.

    I've downloaded the last version of DxWnd but can't find a way to get it to work with the "client.exe" executable. If i put a server URL "aos://xxxxxxxx" it gives me this message:

    Syntax: DxWnd <program path> <extension path>

    What am i doing wrong? i'd really like to know...Where are tye launch parameters? The only options given by the program are Run, Configure, Create Shortcut and Cancel.

    Why would you even want that? It just strains your eyes more.

    @metallforest

    Run DxWnd.
    Edit -> Add.
    Click the ellipses button ('...') and point it at the client.exe.
    Now edit the box at the top to add a space and then "aos://##########" at the end.
    Click OK.
    Double click your new entry in the DxWnd window.

    Did you not read?

    Alright. I'm trying to get this to work and I feel like an retard, but I don't see "Add" upon starting up DxWnd. "What am I doing wrong?"

    I see Run, Configure, Create Shortcut and Cancel on the side + the default "patchers" in the middle... Where's the "Edit -> Add" ?

    Thanks!

    Eh. Of course--- figured it out with a bit more googling. You have to use this version of the program:

    http://www.gamefront.com/files/DXWND+MS/;5335168;/fileinfo.html

    not the one linked above... that one seems to be for patching older programs like WC3 and SC. the one I've linked is really quite self explanatory + features the "edit > add" functionality - just keep in mind the addition of the server when you point to the client.

    Also, I found it's easy to make it bigger with the config.ini --- no prob playing on a 1280 x whatever. Enjoy.
