If any of you have downloaded Ken Silverman's voxlap source code and played that little demo game, you'll get what I mean here. You know when you kill the worms and they fall into the ground, but they don't just disappear, they actually become part of the terrain? I think that a feature like that on AoS would be wicked sick. Like, I'll go up and destroy an enemy watchtower and it breaks, falls, and hits the ground, but leaves rubble in the direction of the fall. I think it'd make the environment more challenging to navigate if there's rubble of past structures littering the terrain. It'd also be great fun to watch this happen :D |

Yes, yes. Feed my awesome suggestions with your awesome support. @Falcon: Idk how this wou... Oh yeah, ok. Because it's so cool to see the stuff collapse. If the game had code to prevent you from destroying teammate's blocks but allowed you to destroy enemy-placed blocks, then I guess destroying enemy structures would just be considered the cost of war, you know? Because if you're destroying something the ENEMY built then in a sense you're helping YOUR TEAM on the offensive. But if you're destroying blocks placed by your teammates, you're just being an asshole. |

you mean something like that? |

Yeah that's actually a better idea, however I don't support ALL of it. It's definitely a good system for getting rid of griefers, but it takes way too long. I'd say that if at least three players mark someone as a /traitor, a votekick starts and the marked player is not allowed to build/break blocks during the votekick. The votekick should be noticeable by players who just wanna shoot stuff, so people actually pay attention and contribute to the thing instead of ignore it or simply not even know it's happening. Then, if the player comes back after he's been kicked, he gets a warning from the server. If a player gets marked as a traitor a second time (by three diff. players again), then a voteBAN is initiated. The ban length should be set by default to maybe like 1 day, but is changeable by the server admin. That's just my idea. |

nice suggestions, i think the idea of the bodies being permanent(if it's possible) would be cool, and if the buildings that fall down either still add on, so if a building topples over, you can still go inside/around the wreckage, and it will do damage if you get hit |

I totally agree with Galaxion and kevin on how destruction should work. It seems more natural and advanced. Think about the traps we could do. Epic! |

+1 to Priok on the damage thing. I would like to watch the building I sabotaged crush my enemies. Damage could be calculated by the number of blocks in the structure, and anything more than 50 would be an instant kill. |

Yeah that's alright. I think something that would be REALLY cool is if a structure is able to sense when it's over its weight threshold. Like, if I take down 2/4 legs of a watchtower, the thing will crumble in the direction of the legs that were taken out, so I don't have to take out all of them. This would also make escaping a falling structure a lot more fun, because you may or may not know when the thing is actually going to collapse :D |

It'd make griefing a lot easier and it'd be much less resource-efficient than the current method. Structures leaving debris when they land is a cool idea though. |

Great idea.... That would be great if this was included eventually Your Demonic nightmare |

Bodies should stay and ragdoll phsysics for them if this works |

nah. if they become a stationary object when they settle it puts less lag in on the long term. |

Stress break threshold: Anyway, everything is possible. I think, it is possible for me to design a simplified method for calculating stress in blocks (probably based on horizontal slices with centers of mass and its mass blba bla bla), but I can't code to implement it into engine. Debris stay after fall is a nice idea though but it could be "playable" if we had weapons that could make really big holes in blocks, so big wall-forts wont just fall a bit and still be used by enemy. |

I agree with your idea about stronger weapons, especially if everything that fell just fell one block, or whatever, instead of actually crumbling to the side or something. I think something high damaging to buildings would be fine, it might be hard to balance, but it could just be like a 1-3 per team weapon, like the heavy machine gun idea. |
