Here's what I found on Google when searching Ruth Fred:
The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.
Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses."

    Same goes for DR. Fetus.
In conclusion, Nigerian scams tried to fraud you into sending them 100$.
    That's just lazy.

I saw a show that showed different techniques of scammers on the internet and people who've fallen victim to the more convincing ones, like the ones that the scammers spent days on researching about the certain people they're sending them to.

DeathEnhanced: This certain one wasn't directed at Frosty himself, but rather sent to random emails across the internet. The ones directed at certain people/ groups of people tend to be a lot more convincing, and many times people fall for this trap out of interest, curiosity, and gullibility.

Basically, Nigeria has become the online equivalent of Somolia.

Only sometimes Somolians can get money from smart people, too.
