  • Cant host, tried everything, ive hosted before.
  •

As stated, I have been hosting minecraft servers for quite a while now, along with a few other servers, a website (which failed miserably) and multiple other things like ventrillo, teamspeak 2-3 ect.

For some reason, AoS fails to be hosted on my connection, I have portforwarded fine, (even used DMZplus to check) have all the settings correct, tried on other computers on my network, na da.

I know that the server itself is running (used the localhost connection thing, forgot what it was) and i connected, yet i fail to connect though the server list and so do other people, whaddafuck.

If you come on here simply to troll or say "l2portforward" then you are a complete idiot and need to go hang yourself in your closet.

    TL;DR:

Server not working, portforwarded, DMZplussed, tried on other computor, works fine when using localhost, but no one else can connect.

umm yea try removing your firewall and make sure youve doen all of these
    1) go to you start menu
    2) click on run and then type cmd
    3) once in type ipconfig
    4) then get your defualt gateway ip adress
5)go into your internet exporer and type in your default gateway ip addres
    6) it will ask for username and passwor by defualt username is admin and password is just the word password.
    7) once your in go to your port forwarding make the external port 32887 and the internal port 32887
    8) for protocal set it to UDP
    9) go back to you ipconfig in your command window and get your ip address then type that in to the end of the 192.168.1.1_____ in your port forwarding menu
    10) thats it then go to the ace of spades server app and generate a map and select how many players and what its called i think i got it righ thope that helped

Jukel, nice help there.. he said he has portforwarded + checked that he had portforwarded correctly.

I haven't seen solutions to this yet, but you are not the only one.

I've been in your situation, bro.

Here's what I did (it fixed it somehow):

    1. Delete the entire AoS folder (back up maps you want to save first)
    2. Run the AoS installer, but remove instead of install
    3. Run the AoS installer normally and install the game
    4. * REBOOT *

To test your port, open TS3 up and make a virtual server on AOS port.

If you can not connect to the TS3 virtual server on that port that is what is up :)

Jackster, you aren't an admin, so I'm not telling an admin what to do.

I do not know what to tell you, Razor. I've done all the obvious things. Can connect to it locally... just cannot publicly connect.

Here's another thread where we've been trying to sort this out. It's a real issue, port forwarding is not the problem.
