im sure theres a tutorial somewhere, im 95% sure ive seen one brb
this isnt very detailed but it works"Just drag the ironsight png to the desktop, and edit it with paint.net or photoshop. Usual paint wont work, cause it doesnt support alpha channels " found that by searching modding ironsight help

(Hydrotrope) the only hard part is aligning the place where it will shoot. all i do is go to slab6 and print screen on the gun. then i paste to paint and copy one side to make it symmetrical. then i paste to GIMP with transparent backround and i draw the iron sight bars and finally align it. put file into program files and done. (Hydrotrope)

Since Hydrotype doesn't want to make ironsights anymore, maybe ask TheOperator.

OK, I've tested and tested, tried 5 designs already, but it's too late and I have to sleep.

That means it won't be done in 15 hours.

make sure to set the picture to 400x400 and align 2 horizontal pixel side to side on the 200 vertical line for the iron sight to be in the middle.

I'll give you a hint Drury.

Even though this technique is pretty moot now that the new system is being put in place.

Hint: There's an MD5 hash in place to prevent modded ironsights. Only 1/(2^128) files will have the same hash.
