When i saw BBpress i definately thought i'd have to activate via Wordpress too but it turned out not to matter.

Delete old avatar, upload a new one (change some pixels, upload from desktop)
Make them re-cache your avatar. OR you can add more avatars to your account and over time see if any of them work.

Other than that, if nothing works you might have to look up a support topic some where.

@Exile: I'm only using one email address for my gravatar, and it's the same one I'm using here. The reason I asked is that the forums here are powered by BBPress, an offshoot of Wordpress.

I've tried lots of things, and my forums account is still represented by a bunch of annoyingly pink diamonds, rather than the picture of a Slab6 model of bacon I told gravatar to associate with any accounts made using my sign-up email address.

I've tried activating stuff, I've tried telling the gravatar account to check for other accounts with the same email, and I've checked all the things mentioned by the help pages for gravatar... they're all about as effective as rubber BBs. HOLLOW rubber BBs.

Or, in other words: Help! I r newb @ gravatar use!

There isn't a webadress to activate, 1337101, thats what i was saying. Blogger is account based along with every thing else. I am pretty sure Wordpress is one of the few things that require any sort of URL input and none of them effect AOS.

THE ONLY thing i can imagine is that you need to add some more email accounts to your gravitar, thinking that you might have used the wrong one if you have multiples when you signed up here.

That is what i meant, when i was considering the mistake i made. I did not activate Wordpress first to gravitar (blogger was the one i used first), and i recently(today) checked it off my gravitar list as my wordpress site has gone under in a way.

I do think you can forget about wordpress and i'm very sorry for the confusion.

oh, what the heck, I can't think of anything less helpful. My gravatar is rated "G" (C'mon, it's just a strip of bacon... people only find that disturbing if they belong to PETA [People Eat Tasty Animals, People Embarrassing to the Tidewater Area, etc]).

The real problem I've been running into is activating my AoS Forums account. I go to the activation page and select Wordpress, and it asks me for a web address and my login information. I obvioulsy know my login imformation, but what address am I supposed to put in the web address field? Neither the main site address nor the forums address work.

I'm sorry, i was incorrect and i feel terrible for it but i do think it was blogger i verified my service with.
So here is a link to all the things i verified. Honestly I'm impressed it hasn't taken almost immediately.
Here is a small hash of information from the FAQ.

I changed my gravatar, but I still see my old one on sites!
We cache your gravatars for periods of time, which means that your new gravatar will take effect after the old one expires from the cache.
The reason we do this is to be able to serve your (and indeed everybody’s) gravatar images much more quickly and reliably.

My gravatar doesn’t show up for a particular rating (or site!)
Many sites only support displaying avatars with a rating of G.
If your avatar is rated as too explicit (you get to set the rating yourself) it will not be shown on sites that do not support that particular rating.
The check tool (http://en.gravatar.com/support/check) will show you what your gravatar might look like for all ratings.
If you wish to change your images rating,
simply hover your mouse over the image in the list at the bottom of your manage page,
and you will see the rating appear in black.
Click on that rating, and choose a new one from the next page.
As always give it a bit of time for the new rating to take effect!

@Exile: I never had an official gravatar. My old "random pattern" was green and white, but I changed some of my profile data and it seems that changed the seed for the pattern to something that produced pink diamonds. I'll check with Gravatar and see if it's verified everything.

EDIT: What link do I need to enter into the web address field? I tried entering the forums address and my forums account information, but obviously that was a newb thing to do because it didn't work.

Does anyone remember the Bridge-Wars? The fact that the bridge was destractable ruind the whole map. The griefers would usually destroy the bridge after like 15 minutes and it would turn into shity a shity Floating Rectangles Wars.
I support this idea by 100%. But I do not think that all the blocks are to be replaced with indestractable blocks so for example you can make only the upper platform of the bridge indestractable.

intel forts wouldn't be indestructible, the blocks would be editor only, and intel is randomly placed on the map. Only what the map editor wants indestructible, would be.
If a map is good it will be played and hosted.

Well, lets talk a bit about what you are doing in VOXED-C.
Once you clear that up a bit, we can help more but before that i'll mention that some Voxel based editors want you to run it maximized.

Aside from that, Voxed-C runs the motion controls on the WADS keys. Depending on the screen orientation when you are moving your left and right could cause you to go up or down (Related to the camera sway on the engine.)

As for gravitar, try activating your word-press account on gravitar to make the changes stick. It is usually not required by most people but it helped me. I already have a word-press email relation though. The changes generally take 5 to fifteen minutes. I have seen cases of longer on the forums but it usually ends out changed.

To verify your service with Wordpress or Blogger which i also did, you have to go to

I almost necromanced the VOXED companion thread until I saw this one.

I can't get VOXED Companion to work right, all it does is tilt my screen everywhere when I try to move.

Speaking of avatars, how long does it usually take between changing your avatar with Gravatar and actually seeing the change in here? I changed mine several hours ago and haven't seen any change here.

I'm using the same email for the Gravatar account as I am for the forums, and set the avatar to that account. The file I'm using is in .png format and uploaded from my computer. What've I done wrong? Why is my avatar still a mess of pink triangles and diamonds?

First you need an avatar you want. So i will go to google and type "Pea Soup" gross
Alright, so now i got a bowl of pea soup in photo format. Save the image to your hard drive, or copy it from the screen with right click. Open PAINT on your windows system or what ever you use. Save it as some thing new, maybe MAYBE write your name on it.

You can now upload it directly to Gravitar, which i listed in this thread already. Just gotta scroll up, now!

Man that avatar is almost cooler than mine.
To get god mode, you have to be an admin on the server, like i imagine you are. So when you want to god-mode your self on your server, the command appears to be
/god akseltorgerson
OR what ever your name is in the game.

If it doesn't work you should have to change the config to add some passwords, so you can log into the admin stuff.

Running

Edit config.txt to your liking. If you don't want to go too deep with the configuration, just edit "name", "map" and the admin password ("replaceme").

Pyspades provides two types of accounts currently: "admin" and "trusted". Each account can have a list of passwords:

"admin" : ["password","sesame","watermelon"],

You can use different passwords for different people, so that the server may be easily secured if one of them turns rogue or loses the password.

The admin account can use all the admin commands and is safe from votekicking. Trusted users cannot be votekicked, but do not have any other powers.

Won't accept the account, huh? You can't log in as if you already were there FYI, its more like a registry to let gravitar know you'd like to change it so you have to register and sign up.

You should also go deeper:
There is a verified services function - i made sure to fill out wordpress, and a few others because i often post on those sites.

Once you're logged in, don't forget about this button:

So you can add any email you want to your gravitar log in, incase you used a different one for AOS! Also, it takes 5 to 15 minutes for your avatar to update.
