With autoclimb I haven't heard the "how do I get out of water?" question, but back in the days of its terrible reign over the chat I used to just ignore it. I got a lot of kills on newbs who couldn't crouch-jump despite being told THREE TIMES (readme, serverlist, entry screen).

if we're speaking about ranks, its because the game is thrown out of balance easily by them. some of us might remember WC3 servers in CS/CS:S. remember how you were murdered 100 times before you killed someone else, all because the ones at the top of the EXP chain were around? same shit. and in MW's case, it turned the game into a gimmicky clusterfuck.

People asking about the water really pissed me off. It's gotten much better, but closer to the beginning of this game it was just TERRIBLE. Before you could even join a game, if you could read, right above the server list it told people (pretty sure this is removed now however) how to get out of the water and it told them again somewhere else (I think after joining a game but before choosing sides, it was listed with the controls or something). But wouldn't you know it, chat and forums were filled with HOW I GET OUT OF WATER. Not only could they not fucking read when it was right in front of them, they had no idea what jump crouching was. Fucking babby's first FPS to the extreme. This and HOW I CHANGE NAME just made so fucking pissed at humanity.

I don't see why people dislike these kind of features. They're FEATURES FFS. But if COD or any other game had then oh no, COWADOOTY COWADOOTY COWADOOTY COWADOOTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COD is successful for a reason. Whether you like it or not, a fuck load of others do (= success). In my opinion, it doesn't really rip off call of duty. It'd ripping off of everything else too but that's not the point. I just genuinely enjoy the idea of waves of zombies. If Ben and the majority of the community don't then that's fine too. I have no problem with this game not having zombies, I just think it could be a nice addition. I would say that I'm one of the people who doesn't want this to turn into call of duty even though I enjoy call of duty and don't really see how this could turn into call of duty. The graphics, block based gameplay, and semi-automatic light rifle kind of keeps it from becoming that. Besides, the COD players already have call of duty, I'm sure they wouldn't switch to this if it had a few call of duty or other FPS features thrown in.

I don't see why so many people dislike COD either. I don't think it's the game itself so much as the community and let's not forget, every community has it's bad apples, just like there are griefers and teamkillers here. The only elements I think most call of duty haters hate about it is the regenerating health and lack of team based combat (pretty much all of the COD I've seen (I don't have COD, but I've played it a few times with others before, that's kind of why I can't speak too much about the community) is free for all, which kind of sucks in my opinion, I prefer teams and not being shot in the back because they spawned there constantly). I think a lot of it is the stop liking what I dislike mentality or to be edgy because COD is so popular.
