<description><p>So I had these ideas...</p>
<p>More classes:<br />
 - Medic<br />
 Has the ability to heal wounded soldiers. Also should have the ability to revive players that died recently (10 seconds max)<br />
 - Support (heavy)<br />
 Has the ability to give ammo to friendly soldiers, also has a machine gun. Walks slower.</p>
<p>Class weaponry:<br />
 - Custom weapon sets would be cool! Create your own class, more weapon varieties, at least 2 SMGs, 2 Shotguns, 2 Rifles (Slower firing speed but more precise; Smaller range but deadlier...) Also landmines/grenades/smoke-grenades (You can pick only one)</p>
<p>Battlefield Improvements:<br />
 - Ammo/Health stashes that can be built/destroyed for better holding of key positions.<br />
 - Control points (Game Mode) - players capture control points by standing near them while no enemy is near. Players can choose to spawn at friendly (captured) control points.</p>

<description><p>I have a bunch of ideas for what could be done next as far as new game modes. After seeing TDM in pyspades and what it can do - it was the test for making modes other than CTF - I think we're ready for the next step, which is to try to make game modes that elaborate on the AoS gameplay. Here are some concepts I've been collecting, feel free to comment or add your own. No copies of generic FPS game modes please, they have to include building and destroying blocks.</p>
<p><strong>Tower of Babel</strong><br />
In this mode each team tries to build the highest tower in a certain grid location of the map, and knock down the other team's tower. Own-team griefing in that grid area is simply impossible. The win condition is to reach a certain score - the game scores your structure, where blocks placed higher are worth more than low ones, and solid columns are worth more than overhangs.</p>
<p>Alternatively: Each team starts with a structure that they can't touch at all, and score goes downwards until a loser is declared.</p>
<p><strong>Economy</strong><br />
In this mode, every block your team built(not including the prebuilt ones on the map) earns a point at regular time intervals; destroying the other team's blocks, instead of earning points, contributes to a second "destruction" score. When the destruction score hits a certain limit it's reset and the opposing team is temporarily unable to place blocks(their economy is shut down).</p>
<p>This mode is made to reward pure builders, but it doesn't have a solution for griefing yet. (At first I thought only awarding points for new blocks would work, but then you can just sit at spawn adding and removing the same block forever.)</p>
<p><strong>Territory Control</strong><br />
In this mode, you control grid squares by (of course) building on them. As long as you have more blocks than the other team in that grid square, you own the square.

<description><p>Sensitivity- sensitivity is way to high if you scroll across the ground it makes me sick. your best bet is an ajustable sensitivity in configuration</p>
<p>Fog- fog should increase 20-30 (maybe more?) blocks extra of veiw or a sniper class that can acheive that through scope</p>
<p>A Missle Luancher- Now wait and settle a sec... you need a light weight launcher to go with your smg class that penatrates 2 deep and about 3 side but damages 4-5 more. too many snipers can take cover and lobing grenades is impossible because they're weak</p>
<p>Connection- I play on my comp that i have set up to play minecraft about 8hrs a day with a pretty good connection yet i cannot get on some servers nearly impossible </p>
<p>Medic- some way to revive your self maybe a whole new class that can sense life depeletion probably with an lmg</p>
<p>Melee and Sidarms- definately need to be had for close quarters but with the ML the smg shouldnt get a sidearm</p>
<p>Sniper- reduce the power of the rifle and boost out a sniper that can gain distance there is absolutely no sniping the smg nearly has the same range and a scope that decrease the fog in that area and a movement lag of long distances</p>
<p>Allowing texture packs- I play minecraft and im use to different texture packs and its rahter nice having different choices in my game look. i hear you can change it but it seams there are no "pack" for the game. some thing intresting to see for a game like yours</p>
<p>not comming on here to say you need to implament it now. i have had minecraft since the begining of beta and i know you have to wait for what you want but just a friendly idea for what should be done

<description><p>Shotguns were around during world war one, when Ace of Spades is based, and so would keep the games theme unlike some other ideas on the forums. Shotguns would only be used to CQC (Close Quater Combat) but would have higher damage than the smg and longer reload time. I sugest they would do 50 damage at close range and 100 for a headshot. They would also spray, so could kill more than one person at close range! The possible skin for it could be the trench gun and Iron sights would be, like a lot of shotguns, barely any help, to incourage CQC.<br />
Please leave a comment on what you think about this idea!

<description><p>As *OFFICIAL* is written in caps, this thread must maintain a high standard of serious face-ness and general good suggestions.  Here is a serious face for those of you who don't know what one looks like &#62;:&#124;. Please bear in mind I use the title "OFFICIAL" very loosely, as there still isn't a dedicated suggestions sub-forum.<br />

Now due to the lack of catergorised sub-forums, I've taken it upon my boring self to (hopefully) create a thread where we can post our suggestions and have them read by others. As the thread will, in theory be more condensed down into purely suggestions and not rage-fests and people crying, there is a greater chance they will get looked at by the powers that be.<br />

As we all know Ace of Spades is a fairly new game to hit our screens, and like many other new games, requires alot of support, especially for AOS<br />
(due to I presume its small budget). So please feel free to post any suggestions you may have concerning AoS but there are several rules which I would appreciate you to follow;<br />

+ Keep all suggestions relevant and important.<br />
.<br />
.<br />
+ If somebody has already come up with your idea, think harder. Can it be improved?<br />
.<br />
.<br />
+ If you see a bad idea, please say why and offer alternatives but do not provoke a rage-fest, you can never tell how many testosterone fueled 13 year olds are hiding behind the keyboard waiting to button bash until their mother calls them for dinner.<br />
.<br />
.<br />
+ Use common sense. Don't post suggestions for "planez wif laz0r gunz lol0o0ol0l" as this is probably outwith what the developers probably see as essential/beneficial at such an early stage in the game.<br />
.<br />
.<br />
Here are a few improvements I came up with before and/or during writing this thread;<br />

#1 Balance Out the Bias. When a team begins to fail it's not uncommon for people to switch to the winning side at the touch of a button. This should be limited to a switch say every 5 minutes UNLESS greater influence is put on the teams to win, such as a time-limit, after which the game will RESTART and everything will return to a blank battlefield. This will in general, reduce rage so people will be less enticed to cure their boredom of loosing by grieving.<br />

#2 Fix the way the game is displayed.There have been a countless number of times where I will be listening to a song on Youtube or have an overwhelming urge to go on Wikipedia and read a random article, when suddenly all attempts at this are thwarted by the fact that as soon as you press esc, it's gone. Forever. Until you start up another connection to a server. I am aware that you can alt-tab out of the game, but for some users this may be inconvenient so the game IMO should be displayed in a client window.<br />

#3 Settle the Scores. So there I am in the middle of the battlefield trapped behind a shoddily built wall of bright pink blocks for comical effect and I decide to check my score, well according to my score I usually have in the region of 15 deaths and around 100-200 kills, despite only being on the server for a few minutes. #4 HammerHead Accuracy. In all fairness, the game is way too accurate, I miss very few shots, regardless of the distance which I pick off my unsuspecting pray. IMO the accuracy should be worsened slightly, to allow for more marginal errors within the game to make it more enjoyable when in combat with the enemy. This will make players ask themselves "What if I miss?" and not "How easy is this?".<br />

#5 The Fish. A Fish is the name I give to a player whom spends the majority of their time, camping far out at sea picking off players and usually spawn killing. To combat this, when in the water there should be a 'bobbing' effect implicated, this will ensure that if you would like to be a fish, you will have to shoot like a fish too... presumably quite shit. This will stop people detracting from the games wonderful fort-building nature and get them more involved.<br />

#6 Leaderboards. Ah yes we all love a bit of stiff competition don't we? Well at the end of each round (assuming a time-limit / map restart has been implicated) scoreboards should be displayed. The leaderboards should show the usual kills/deaths and K/D Ratio, along with maybe some interesting facts such as "amount of enemy blocks destroyed" and "amount of blocks placed" and maybe a line of scrolling text along the bottom of a random fact such as "Player X threw the most grenades" etc etc. This could be implicated to a global level, to generate a more team-driven environment towards every round, this may influence more clans to be formed which would further expand the fanbase. There should also be a Win/Loss ratio, (disconnection counts as a Loss). This will enable players to show off their stats on their profile, and to be able to establish who is a genuine player, and who is just plain bad.<br />

#7 F*ck Da Police!. No don't, infact don't bother messing with authority, as generally they are good. This suggestion has probably been made more times than the word "noob" has been displayed on any of the servers. Permissions. I understand that many of the people hosting the server will probably have an extremely basic understanding of the language used to write the game so that is probably the reason why there is a lack of authority.  Ace of Spades needs a dedicated server unit to run several servers on different maps 24/7. With this players will know these servers will be faster, secure, and presumably griever free as admins/moderators may be assigned...*cough* me *cough*. These servers could possibly require a premium account? *hint* $$$ *hint*.<br />

#8 Grenade Limit. You know that little green tent? Yeah the one with that one guy in it who sits there throwing grenades about? Well that can be stopped. Limit grenades to 2 per player. Now before you say "I hardly ever use more than 2 nades a round" please read the above suggestions. With the introduction of a time limit/more pressure on teams to get the intel, this will seem more intelligent.<br />

#9 Donate! As irrelevant as this is to your "epic game time" many of us probably forget that the developers are using their own time, and probably their own money to allow us to blast people in the face. Just a few donations here and there of say $10/£5 each will help indefinitely no matter how small.<br />

<description><p>Now i have made numerous posts before. So i am going to put everything i thought up over time and put it here.<br />
Game play.<br />
1. The Sub Machine Gun is a good weapon however this weapon lacks too many things. This weapon is considered 'impractical &#38; imbalanced' i took training with this weapon and took the Pro's and Con's for the new weapon.</p>
<p>Pro's<br />
- 30 round capacity with 120 spare rounds in reserve.<br />
- fully automatic with option to fire in burst or Semi.<br />
- new iron sights with ghost ring.<br />
- looks like H&#38;K MP5 (AKA looks good).<br />
- reload sounds &#38; fire sounds are good.</p>
<p>Con's ( OH BOI!)<br />
- shitty iron sight. ghost ring is added but looks like shit.<br />
- unrealistic recoil<br />
- overuse.<br />
- sound.<br />
- weakness for head shots.<br />
Now i picked some things that i would discuss about before we move to the next topic. Here we go.<br />
1a - The recoil: is added to make realism to the game however i had plenty retarded Deuces complain that this weapons recoil is too much.<br />
i had remembered one player comment: Shit gun. bad recoil ammo goes like water.<br />
Deuce 13 - (arse)<br />
even though he proves a point. the recoil is unrealistically large. I fired the first few shots find my gun being an Anti aircraft gun. what needs to be done is for the recoil to be toned down. i want the first few seconds to be shooting straight.</p>
<p>2a- Weakness. Ok picture this. Its a boxing match Between the Semi-Rifle and the SMG. the rifle makes a clean hit though enemy head like a knife through butter. the SMG is like walnuts in jelly. When this game was mentioned to have 'realistic damage and gun control i do not understand why the SMG is considered weak. maybe make head shots more realistic.</p>
<p>2. Control &#38; capture mode.<br />
OK get this your simple green grass map. with a already made bridge. There is an artillery turret. and a flag. stand long enough and you can bomb your enemy with the Artillery. although 15 seconds waiting period for reload. the gun has 20 bombs inside and has 300 health. this gun is worked with C0-ORDINATES. e.g enter C4 and it will fire in a random spot in the grid. good huh?<br />
However if it gets turned to scrap metal it can only be used till next round.<br />
this can go the same for command tents. a random one in a populated war zone. Cool huh?</p>
<p>3. transport.<br />
now when we heard about choppers we didn't mention anything. so you guys couldn't moan about it. but think of an Chinook helicopter. used for transporting. You have helipads and its a refuel zone for supplies. the chopper holds 5 people. 1 pilot and 4 passengers. But it can only land on fat zones. on a mountain edge and it will explode. however this chopper comes in Aid. It has a care package ( NO COD REFERENCE HERE)! the care package will drop.<br />
a Medic kit 50% chance.<br />
block refill or Ammo refill 35% chance<br />
Heavy deplorable MG 5% chance.<br />
the chopper can fly anywhere and help in need. It may be an angel on the battlefield.</p>
<p>now for those things in the care package i mentioned.<br />
Medic kit: a healing device which heals in battle. only used once.<br />
it can contain<br />
- bandage 50% chance heals 35% health.<br />
- syringe 50% chance heals 50% health.<br />
nuff said.</p>
<p>block refill/ ammo refill. Nuff said. tops up your supplies.<br />
heavy MG.<br />
only works when deployed but has 150 rounds and can rotate 180 degrees. good in bunkers and has iron sight to improve accuracy. slowish rate of fire.<br />
nuff said.

<description><p>ok this seems like a fine idea but the use of parachutes would be really cool.<br />
it would be an item in your inventory (rifle grenade etc) that would come out as a bag. the bag is worn on back with a cord the player holds. if falling from high ledges just click and will fall down from the tallest of heights with no fall damage whatsoever.<br />
however there is one problem. it can only be used once and falling is slow so your a sitting duck. though you can move while falling in it to land in a particular place so if i fell from tower (high) i would pull the cord and slowly glide toward another building (lower). another good thing is that you can use your rifle mid-air however with the exception that you cannot reload while falling.( cut that idea if you wish im not happy with it either). however when falling you can look anywhere in 360 degrees or straight down.<br />
when hitting ground the parachute will disappear so you can go back to joining red hot combat.</p>
<p>please post comments and leave some constructive criticism.<br />
P.S can sombody make me a SPAS-12 Uzi Carbine skin?

<p>It's a community moderated list of suggestions for Ace of Spades. Since it's creation, over 500 people have submitted over 250 suggestions and cast over 16,000 votes for these various suggestions. Despite this, threads keep popping up that contain the same suggestions over and over and over. However, it occurred to me that perhaps a lot of the newer members of the forums don't know about this suggestions system.</p>
<p>So here you go. Have a suggestion or idea? Pitch it to the community here and see what other people think about it. Then, you can browse the list of suggestions and vote for the ones you like, downvote the ones that suck, and help make the list more complete and organized so that Ben can know what the community wants to see in his game in the future.</p>
<p>Also, could we get a moderator to pin this somewhere on the forum? Having all the ideas and suggestions in one place keeps the forums over here a lot cleaner, and I imagine makes it easier for Ben to get gauge what the community as a whole wants.
