To move classes, you will need to fufil the requirements:
To move from D to C, you must post us a picture of 200 kills.
To move from C to B, you must post us a picture of 350 kills and help recruit 2 people.
To move from B to A, you must post a picture of 550 kills and help recruit 4 people (doesn't count people you recruited from moving from C to B).
To move from A to S, you must post a picture of 600 kills and help recruit 6 people (same rules as before).
To move from S to an Almighty Sub-Leader, you must post a pic of 650 kills and help recruit 8 people (same rules as before)..

You can attain the kills with a sum of pics, e.g: I have one pic which has 500 kills, and another which has 100 kills, by submitting these I can move up.

Now that the shotgun is here, animations could never be more fitting.
Why not seperate the components of a gun into individual .kv6 files and animate them with .ani files?
Here's my concept:

Any .kv6 starting with that weapon's name is considered a part of it, and the one with that exact name is the "centerpiece" of it. Any .kv6 starting with an underscore is ignored in third person. ie:
semi.kv6 (the above-mentioned center piece)
the below are optional for modders, but are named appropriately for easy reference:
semimag.kv6
semibolt.kv6
_semihands.kv6 (this is ignored in third person and will not show up)

semi.ani (semi.kv6's animation file; all of the parts below aside from parts with @ in their name are attached to this and thus affected by its movement)
semimag.ani
semibolt.ani
@semihands.ani (these three are supplied for the three optional .kv6 files, but there can be as many .kv6 and matching .ani files as you like)
semi3p.ani (this is the optional ani file for third person; this overwrites the default semi.ani in third person and thus looks different; this can be done with any and all .kv6 files)

An explanation of how the format of .ani files could be is: With .ini files as a reference ([name] to define an element, then specifications below), we define the animation's name and provide the data as 3D positions and rotations with delays (milliseconds? steps? frames?) at the end, along with a boolean for whether or not it tweens from the previous position.
Example:

To add to this idea, these .ani files should normally be supplied for each .kv6 file (that is, every single one including sub-models like "semimag"), although if there are none, there should be default backups.

Answered questions

How will modders be able to continue modding if the animation is in .ani files?

This does not impact older models at all whatsoever. They will be treated as a single model (because they are) and will be animated with a fallback .ani file for the according weapon.

In other words, they will look the exact same and will not require porting.

Your basicaly saying stop motion kv6 right?!

Nope. The only reason why multiple models would be needed for this idea is for different parts, each with their own animation file containing keyframe data, for the end-product model. In other words, one model for each piece of the gun, all with their own designated keyframe data files. Animated 3D sprite tables would be much harder to develop.

Hey all! :D

So as you all know, I'm technically a modder. Sadly, as I've established before, I don't have a way to "publish" my creations on AoS. :,( This is because my parents won't permit me to get things like a Mediafire acc., a Photobucket acc., etc., and I just have to respect their whims as their son.

BUT- I've had MANY people agree to help me publish things via sending them the files through email and allowing THEM to upload them to THEIR Mediafire accs.! :D It will be like me being the author of a book and them being the publishers. ;)

But there's another thing I need to bring up: I've been working on an actual pack for a few days now- A MEDIEVAL PACK!!! d(^W^)b I'm going to make a bunch of packs in the future after this, title them by what time and/or place they're from, and which number it is.

The thing about it though is that I need IDEAS... :-\ Basically, the goal is to substitute the weapons, grenades, shovel, and blocks with things related to the Medieval Era, along with doing the same for the CP, Intel, Player Skins, Tracers, and so on. So what I need YOU guys to do- as the public- is to give ME ideas for those. For example, I've already made an official Crossbow to replace the Semi in this pack, but what shoul I use for the Shotgun or the SMG that has to do with Medieval Times?

Do you people realize how easy it is to make skins for models in the game? it's as easy as building in the real game except you have no clip and there is no delay between each block. If you want to get a particular mod, why not try and make it yourself? I mean all you need is slab6 and you are good to go.

TO INSTALL:1.Extract the zip file.

2.Either use Spadille( http://ace-spades.com/forums/topic.php?id=4607#post-66661 ) to simply swap the files or you can do it the hard way(see step 3)

3.Go to the start menu,click all programs, click Ace of Spades. Right click on configuration.config and select open file loacation. Replace the same named files in the approprite sections(kv6, png, wav).

4.Enjoy.

Okay,I went on gmod after I got fraps to make machinima,and I used my Gamestop wired controller,I typed in "exec 360_controller" boom,it works.
BUT the hud was'nt showing except the health and the freaking Xbox crosshair..
NOW!!! WHENEVER I GO ON THE GAME THE CROSSHAIR IS THERE...
Even without the controller...
Its making me FUCKING RAGE.
I want help!

Well I love mods BUT I NEED ARMS! I find it distracting without them :P I was wondering if some one could take there time and do a whole bunch of packs for me, adding arms. For example The Pony Pack and ect. If you are willing to do this I prefer "SIMOX'S arms" Look at his guns and you will see what I mean. Please help! It's a good cause! Medic vans could re-supply health but nothing else, and would have to be driven and protected.

And maybe NPCs?

NPCs could fight for you if you gave them ammo.

As I and many people realize the same maps, like hallway, goon heaven and ect, are always being used on servers. I was wondering if maybe aloha and some other big server owners could switch their maps a bit maybe for 2-4 days. Maybe use Harbor/Urban, a Defualt, Faceoff, Assault, and even Omoha Beach, I found these to be great maps and sadly they aren't being hosted anymore. To bring some more life is any1 into bringing these maps back?! If so say whether or not you are and the server! :D

Hey guys, I'm looking for inspiration for my continuing pack of guns and want to know what you would like me to include. All you have to do is respond here telling me what guns you like... no limits on how many you can request, just two rules: Please be as specific as possible ("Tht 5up3rk3wl xXx5n1p3rxXx fr0m C0D!!11!1!!!" won't cut it...), and please limit the requests to real-world guns (I don't feel like screwing with copyright laws right now, sorry).

As a note, don't view this as an immediate request-granting service like most "request guns" topics. I might not choose to make the gun at all, and even if I do I'll put it in a pack to release later... rather than an immediate release.

EDIT: There's also no rule saying you can't just talk about guns in here... I'll gain some useful input that way as well. I'll start things by saying I like Remington Model 700's, chambered in .22 or .3006.

Unlike others I've seen this is a more modern crossbow with a scope. I made the crossbow from the original file, the same for the tracer arrow. I did however get the sight from one of JukelProNab's guns. The download also includes a sound effect for shooting but, not reloading. If you find a reload sound please post it here.
Also I will be finishing a "Legend of Zelda" mod pack soon, I just need a sight for the gun so be sure to look for that, it will be posted in the maps & mods section.

I was thinking today instead of having a sniper rifle that can look more into the fog that the addition of binoculars would allow you to look into the fog for another 50 -100 blocks to spot people , tactics, stuff like that. Just an idea so dont say stuff like, "This will make it like COD" I just think this is a better addition to the game than the sniper. We already have a rifle, why do we need a sniper rifle? As long as we can look into the fog a little, that will satisfy me. Thoughts?
