Hmmm. He has a point. You can build in this game so people are gunna build pixel art, this ISN'T COD after all...

Once, i was on the Goon Haven server on blue team. There were 12 people on blue. 3 of those (including me) Were the only ones fighting, The other 9 dumb-asses on my team were building a bunch of rainbows and kitchens in spawn, while there were so many enemies, i was the ONLY ONE defending. If they killed me, they could just walk in, kill all the retards on my team with pickaxes, and destroy all their structures in the seconds it took me to respawn. THOSE are the people that should play minecraft.
It was kinda fun though, since most of the enemy team sucked anyway, so i killed some of their waves rambo-style with a shotty.

Hah, exactly how I feel, once in a server some of them said:
something like: Stop building a bigass fort and fight! this is EXACTLY what they said after that "Stop treating this game like minecraft" then I said "stfu and stop treating this game like CoD or CounterStrike, or TF2"
Then they were going further and saying "Stop NOT treating this game like CoD"
I really can't get these people. and I agree, It's acceptable for me for the enemy team to grief me, but people in my team griefeing my buildings are just unacceptable, sometimes I just say "Stop griefeing me, why can't you just kill enemies and grief their buildings."

1 if u build useless crap on a CTF server, go play a FREEBUILD
2 if u build usefull stuff and some "ally" buttface deletes it, votekick him
3 if an ENEMY knocks down ur usefull shiot then quit whining and knock down theirs, idjit.
4 if there are no freebuilds, make ur own.

in the riots, the police have come with stupid riot gear and i have seen a few run FROM rioters
the police in the UK have no authority, its stupid!

All the police would need to do is open fire (if they haven't already, I heard they've been positioning marksmen units). Not necessarily with lethal rounds, but the sound of a gun always does a good job of breaking up a riot, even if the bullets don't even hit anyone.

I think it's disgraceful how they've acted. What started out as a peaceful march has been hijacked by thugs and dicks to be used as an excuse to break shit for the sake of breaking it, and all the five-fingered discounts that come with rioting.

Wow, I actually feel really ashamed to be a briton right now.
I just don't understand what drives these people to riot and cause so much painful chaos, horrible things have happen during the past 4 nights:

A furniture store, which had been selling furniture for 140 years, had been razed to the ground by arsonists.

People were burning homes, one resident had to jump out of there flat window to escape the flame AND rioters.

3 asian people were killed by a car, which was supposedly a hit and run incident.

My mum was telling me that police in other countries like germany wouldn't stand for such insolence, apparently they carry better riot shields and revolvers with live ammunition.
It's really upsetting for me becuase whilst I don't actually live in london (though I fear the chance of them coming to where I live), I have friends and family who live there.
And also David Cameron said about how he saw people who were 13/12 (like me) looting shops, that give the youth of the country a bad name, in my personal opinion I am disgusted at the behaviour of those who are my age and looting.

autists CAN BE good engineers, but they wont be if you cry "OMG AUTISTICGUY123 IS BUILDING A PONY TAKE IT DOWN MWHAHAHA, GO PLAY MINECRAFT" he set a challenge for himself, and is gonna do it. give him a bigger, utilitarian challenge and he'll do it too. that's how he works. griefing won't make him do anything else.

Wrong, if they were good engineers there building would not be that fancy and more structurally sound.
I haven't seen any autistic buildings that weren't easily destroyable.
However I have seen plenty of spider towers that are a pain to destroy without your own team griefing(and even then)

autists are good at what they like, and suck at what they don't like. thus, if an autist is building a giant pony, tell him to use his building skill at something useful, and you'll have one heck of an engineer. however, if you say "OMG AUTISTICGUY123 IS BUILDING A PONY TAKE IT DOWN MWHAHAHA, GO PLAY MINECRAFT" he will, most likely, go on. take into account the fact that pixel-art makers want versatile colors, and MC is predetermined.
if an autist is good at shooting, pray he's on your team.

The people who play it don't seem to think it's pointless. In fact I'd go as far to say they probably have fun doing it.

"build only" is completely pointless. Its an FPS, if you want build only the go play minecraft, because it's a building game.

Yep, the only practical way to prevent griefing is with avid moderation, and honesty and good sportsmanship amongst players.

AoS is a building and fighting game, and is not based around creativity, more for those who can use cleverness in base defense and practicality. There's definitely some psychology behind griefing, the motives are usually pretty obvious.

Whitelisted and private servers would also be more accommodating to the genuine player.

the only thing we could realy do is have a better admin sytem, and make registered accounts
