Example; if someone of your team does emoticon and it wouldn't be close enough to see in your little radar thingy it shows the emoticon next to your radar so you can check from minimap where your ally is:

Another neat thing could be that you can see your enemies emoticons after you've captured their intel for a limited time. (like you can already see their positions)

each list has a max of 10 commands and can be said by pressing the number behind it
it will be seen on teamchat

That could work, too, I suppose. Easier than stopping and making yourself vulnerable for several seconds while you type that out.

How about a quick text message? I think its called CODEX or something. Even give the option of setting what the messages say themselves? For example press L and a message pops up saying "Enemy sighted" or something lol. I guess to prevent spam you can only send these messages once every couple of seconds?

Tactical animations! Sure why not. But we don't have fingers, so hand signals might be a little wonky.

I really like this suggestion, but can you make a new title and repost the thread? "Map location indicators" or something would be more obvious than "emotions".

I would like some kind of quick way to message some simple yet efficent info to your teammates without something like teamspeak or super fast writing skills.
I suggest that when you press a key X (X=some key) you send a little emoticon to your teams minimap into your current location.
