I couldn't agree more with OP, and CaptainMan, thats what minecraft classic is for.

Fix block spamming instead

Personally I like them - sure, they may ruin the landscape but it adds a particular sort of feel to the game - you can do stupid stuff with brightly-coloured blocks if you want to, it's not all about the kills.

I like to fill enemy tunnels with pink blocks, so they feel pwn'd while they dig them out again

You could always, just replace the blocks with a less brightly coloured block. It just requires a little manual labour.

LoL block spammers are the best when you get them to put URLs that you want on the map :P

It ruins the landscape. I mean, we're in world war one and there are neon colors everywhere? I'm quite sure that the soldiers in ww1 weren't that high ...

yeah I think we just need nature colors like colors of green and brown, maybe blue and green to mark territory..

Just hack the number of blocks ... Spammers usually do that. Wouldn't be so useful =/

These blockspammers are indeed annoying, but removing all the color for everyone would be not good. Maybe make neonblocks require more blocks from your inventory? But it shouldn't be too complicated too.

But if we remove neon colors how will deuces write bad words on the map??

Fair point- Someone once told me to look for 'the out of place white pixel' on the map. About ten seconds later I knew where it was, with the bonus that had I not been looking for that pixel I probably would not have even noticed it.

That's true, but you're also able to mark a tunnel with ... Let's say your entrance is next to the water, light green to dark green blocks are used there. Just get a dark grey block and it's marked.

I do find them annoying, though they're damned useful for painting the entrance to a tunnel.

Does anybody else agree with me on this? I just think the neonblocks should be removed.

I really have a problem with these neon-colored-blocks ... Sure, they're great to mark places, but the longer the server is online, the more neon-brick spam is on the map. It's quite annoying to see neon colors everywhere, it's ruining the landscape.
