Maybe the game could ask every player with some kind of popup if he/she wanted to change. I'm just guessing, but the would probably be a player who would accept the request. If no one accepts then it would force-move someone at random. If it got to force-moving it would still be unfair but everyone got a chance to prevent it. I don't know how easy it would be to implement (I am a noob when it comes to code) but I think it might work.

Force-moving players would just get people to rage. There'd be no fair way to judge which person gets switched.

I just don't care what team I end up on. If they are a bunch of idiots that grief then I vote kick them. Also I just thought of another thing. If enough players leave the server to unbalance the teams, then the game can just move a player to the unbalanced team.

Yes, I hate the PySpades balance forcer as well. It needs some room for two reasons:

1. It's possible for even-numbered teams to be imbalanced. If one team has more "useless garbage" builders and the other team has more pros, there's a huge imbalance and none of the pros can teamswitch to make things more sporting and fun.

2. It's not possible for two people to trade teams. Once P0rtal and I wanted to switch team spots... I had a few nice sniping posts for punishing the team I was on, and P0rtal wanted to work on a fort he (or she, I don't know) had started earlier on the team I was on. Despite all of our efforts, we never were able to trade.

So a four-player tolerance, (or a one-quarter server tolerance for those dull five-on-one matches) would be a good idea.

Even then it might be best to have that as an optional setting, for when server owners want to allow everyone absolute freedom of choice.

I hate being forced to play blue and would rather choose a new server than be forced to play on a team I do not like.

Sitting there waiting for someone to leave green for 5 minutes is boring.

I went and made an account just to post this idea/suggestion because this is really starting to piss me off. Ever since I started playing this game there has been issues with the teams being unbalanced. It gets really frustrating on maps like Hallway because it gets to the point where you get spawn killed with in the first 5 seconds. I think the game should not allow team changing if the team has more than 3 players more than your team. Of course you can join a team with an equal amount of players or less. What do you guys think? Should this be implemented into the game? I sure do.
